At the end of today's The Bold and the Beautiful episode, viewers saw a sneak peek of what's coming up next week on the show. It looks like two familiar faces are returning to the program -- Denise Richards, who plays Shauna Fulton, and Darin Brooks, who plays Wyatt Spencer.
Everything Bold is new again on The Bold and the Beautiful
In the promo at the end of today's B&B episode, viewers saw the characters of Liam (Scott Clifton), Bill (Don Diamont), along with Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Shauna (Denise Richards) in Bill's office.
Viewers will have to tune in to see what brings the two fan favorites back to the canvas. However, both characters are steeped in B&B history, and they're connected as Wyatt is engaged to be married to Shauna's daughter, Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden).
Brooks, a Daytime Emmy-winner for his role as Max Brady on Days of our Lives, came onto the scene as Wyatt in 2013, the son of Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer). courtesy of her affair with Bill. Viewers had learned that Liam was also Bill's long-lost son. The show set up a dynamic in which the two Spencer brothers battled for the affections of Hope (then, Kim Matula; now, Annika Noelle), Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), and Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer).
In fact, Ivy's unsuccessful romances with both Spencer brothers were the main reason why she objected to her niece, Electra (Laneya Grace), being involved with Will Spencer (Crew Morrow).
Richards debuted as Shauna in 2019. She was a talk-to for her daughter, Flo, who had gotten caught up in a babyswap storyline involving Dr. Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) and Steffy, who wanted a baby sister so that her daughter, Kelly, could have a sibling, similar to how Steffy had her twin sister, Phoebe.
Shauna's threat to destiny
Shauna was besties with Wyatt's mother, Quinn, and she went on to have a romance with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), as Ridge and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) were on the outs. Eventually, of course, "destiny" won out and Ridge and Shauna parted ways, as friends, so that Ridge could return to Brooke.
Richards has appeared on the big screen in such films as Starship Troopers. (Read her tribute to her co-star from that film, the late Patrick Muldoon, ex-Austin, DAYS, here.) In 1999, she played a "Bond Girl," Dr. Christmas Jones, in the feature, The World Is Not Enough, which starred Pierce Brosnan (Remington Steele) as 007.
She's also appeared on Two & A Half Men, The Secret Lives of Cheerleaders, Spin City, Anger Management, and Friends.
There's no word yet on a return for Bowden as Flo. Have Flo and Wyatt gotten married off-camera? Or is it more of a business storyline that's bringing Wyatt and Shauna back to the story canvas?
