The Bold and the Beautiful recap, March 9: Taylor and Deacon say goodbye after Steffy makes demands

Here’s your The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Monday, March 9, 2026, when Will and Electra’s breakup became the talk of the office, while Taylor and Deacon said their goodbyes, after Steffy gave them an ultimatum.

Steffy Forrester Finnegan walked into Taylor Hayes's office and was shocked and angry to find Deacon Sharpe there. Steffy thought that their romance was over and that she had gotten through to her mother. “If you want Deacon in your life, you can’t be in mine,” Steffy declared. “There’s nothing you can do to make this right. This ends today.”

Taylor said that it was a misunderstanding. She had run into Deacon at Il Giardino by accident. Deacon tried to defend her. Steffy wouldn’t have it, reminding Deacon that Sheila has always been a dangerous threat to her and the rest of their family.

“You married an emotionally unbalanced woman, a woman who has tormented our family for years,” Steffy told him. “And we’ve done everything in our power to shut her out of our lives. That’s how you respond to a threat. The moment you committed yourself to Sheila, you put yourself on an island.”

Steffy continued, asking Deacon and Taylor what they believed would happen if Sheila had walked into the office and saw them together. Steffy asked them who she would be the most angry with: The man she trusts or the other woman? Steffy argued it would definitely be Taylor. “She would lash out at you, Mom. She would make you pay, and I’m not going to let that happen. Too many lives are at stake.”

Deacon said he was in love with Taylor, calling her “the most beautiful, intelligent, engaging woman I’ve ever met”, and didn’t want Steffy to punish her for his mistakes.

Steffy complimented Deacon for turning his life around, being a good father and grandpa, and making the restaurant a success. But he still made a big mistake marrying Sheila. Then Steffy left the office, saying, “You claim to love each other, then say your goodbyes.”

After she left, Taylor told Deacon that her daughter isn’t going to budge. She said her family comes first, “but my love and desire is with you.” Deacon said he understood, but that he would love her for the rest of his life. They held hands, hugged and kissed, lingering in each other’s arms for a while.

At Forrester Creations, Will Spencer and Electra Forrester held each other. “I’m here, right here, and I love you,” Will said. “And everything that’s happened, I want to forget about it and put it behind us. Tell me that you want that, too.”

Electra asked him if Dylan was still living at his house. Will promised her he would ask Dylan to leave.

Electra asked him to be honest with her. She wanted to know if anything had happened between them, if Ivy was correct that they had crossed a line with each other. Will struggled to respond. Electra saw his face and realized that they did indeed share a kiss.

Will said it wasn’t like that. Electra got angry, reminding him that he is living with another woman and locking lips with her. Will said he didn’t want to talk about Dylan. Instead, he wanted to focus on them. Electra asked if what her aunt saw was wrong when he made a choice and sided with Dylan.

Meanwhile, in Ivy’s office, she and Daphne discussed this situation. Ivy said that her niece made it very clear that Will could live with Dylan or be with her, and that Will made his choice by letting Dylan stay there.

Daphne said Will and Electra love each other, which means more than any disagreement. Ivy said that Will is not the man Electra thinks he is: “What matters more than anything is Electra’s well-being. I will do everything in my power to keep Will from Electra. I want her to have a man who is completely devoted to her… I’m protecting my niece from a spoiled rich boy.”

Daphne reminded Ivy that she’s undermining their relationship by stealing Electra’s letter to him and manipulating them. Ivy said the relationship was ruined the moment Will let Dylan move in. Daphne said that by stealing the letter, she had torn apart both of their lives. "If the truth comes out, I hope they find their way back to each other.” Ivy threatened her not to say anything to Electra about the letter.

In the design area, RJ was working at his desk. Kingsley and Jamie came in and flirted with him in an over-the-top way, not hiding their lust. RJ chuckled with embarrassment and told them he was flattered, but he needed to focus on his work.

Jamie asked him if he had heard that Will and Electra had broken up. She noted that it must have been really bad if Will disappeared from the office. Kingsley said they care about Electra but didn’t press her for any details. RJ told them he has been so busy with his work that he hadn’t noticed anything, and that he tries to stay out of office gossip.

RJ left them and found Will and Electra in the runway area, then asked her why she was crying. Electra didn’t say anything and ran out of the room. RJ and Will got in each other’s faces and glared at each other. RJ said, “Let her go. I think you’ve hurt her enough.”

Electra ran into Ivy’s office, then Ivy stood up and asked what was wrong. Electra said she hoped Will would explain everything, and it would be OK. She told her aunt she was confused. “Will hates being apart as much as I do.” Ivy hugged her as Daphne looked on.

Alone at the reception desk, Kingsley and Jamie discussed the breakup. Jamie asked her if she noticed RJ’s face when they brought up Will and Electra, and wondered if RJ knows more than he’s saying. They both got curious and agreed to try to find out why the breakup happened.
