The Bold and the Beautiful has finally let the cat out of the bag, exposing Deacon and Taylor's affair to Sheila. However, the moment could have been slightly more serious, instead of relying on campy antics that downplayed the gravity of it all. Between that and the barrage of reminders that Electra and RJ aren't blood-related, it was a wild week. With that said, it's time to break it all down, two scoops style.

The moment finally arrived with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) seeing Deacon (Sean Kanan) and Taylor's (Rebecca Budig) betrayal with her own eyes. It was a moment months in the making, but it could've been done a bit more seriously. Sheila knows how to instill fear in anyone, but did it really need to take place with her making the corny line about Nurse Carter bringing Taylor her medicine? It took away from the gravity of the situation and made Sheila look like more of a joke than the genuine threat to Taylor's safety that she is.

The other part of the entire situation is how they expected all of this to play out. Deacon and Taylor played with fire far too many times to actually believe they'd never get burned. Also, they have tried to villify Sheila every chance they get, but it's not landing. While Sheila has historically been the villain on The Bold and the Beautiful, in this specific scenario, she is absolutely the victim. Deacon took Sheila back and vowed to make his marriage work, knowing exactly who and what his wife was. She hasn't done anything to raise alarm bells, but everyone from Deacon to Taylor to Hope (Annika Noelle) to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) continues to express the threat she poses.

Faux Forrester

If you didn't know before this week that Electra (Laneya Grace) and RJ (Brayan Nicoletti) aren't blood related, you sure do now. From Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) to Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), there were no missed opportunities to remind viewers at home that there was no shared DNA between the two Forresters. Brooke even went as far as to give a history lesson about Stephanie and Massimo Marone, and how Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) isn't Eric's (John McCook) biological son. It was as if the show felt the need to jump through hoops to not catch any potential backlash from the pairing.

There's no surprise that Bold is willing to go there with Electra and RJ. The only saving grace to the situation is that if they ever got married, nobody would need to change their last name. In all seriousness, the pairing has no chemistry, and it's difficult to get past the cousin factor, blood-related or not. They both work at Forrester and claim it as their family company, so witnessing everyone in their lives champion the potential relationship is jarring at best and downright disgusting at worst.
