The Bold and the Beautiful bid farewell this week to Ivy Forrester, who finally crumbled under the weight of her growing list of secrets and lies. Between Ivy's goodbye, and the letter that holds far more power than it should, there was a lot to digest across the episodes. Plus, the potential lunacy behind Dylan's out of the blue phone call is enough to cause nightmares, and it's time to break it all down, two scoops style.
Signed, sealed… and overblown

While it's great that Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) was finally shown the door (more on that later), the manner in which it happened was quite ludicrous. Electra's (Laneya Grace) letter to Will (Crew Morrow) should not hold the power that it does, as there was nothing in its contents that would've changed anything. Electra's biggest gripe was Dylan (Sydney Bullock) remaining in Will's guest house, and whether or not Will went to the showroom to speak with her wouldn't have changed anything. They likely would've gotten into another spat about it, and potentially left on even worse terms than they went in with. However, despite the letter's ridiculous ability to change lives, it served its purpose in removing Ivy from Will and Electra's lives.
The Bold and the Beautiful's Ivy may have gone down with a whimper after causing so much fuss, but her final moments foreshadowed her agenda once she returns. Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) confessing what she knew to Electra directly prompted Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke's (Katherine Kelly Lang) verbal lashing at her and her subsequent exit from the company. If Daphne had remained quiet, Ivy would probably still be happily pulling the strings in her niece's life. Instead, she realized she was no longer wanted there and packed her things, leaving the company (and Electra) behind.
The ghost on the line

The Bold and the Beautiful's Dylan having a storyline outside of Will and Electra's relationship drama would normally be a welcome change. However, the mystery caller angle might be make-or-break for the latest soap sensation. Dylan's past is a mystery, and there's a chance it's someone from before her time in Los Angeles with unfinished business with her. That would undoubtedly be the best-case scenario, but there's one lingering possibility floating around that could flip the entire show on its head, and that might not be a good thing. What if Luna (Lisa Yamada) is alive and making the calls to Dylan?
Dylan allegedly ran down Luna and ended her life, but viewers never saw a body. If they didn't see it, it didn't happen. It's simple, logical. Knowing how close Will and Dylan might have become would definitely trigger Luna to come out of hiding and exact revenge against her. Dylan paraded around town and took credit for the death, and if it didn't happen like that, Luna isn't going to sit idly and allow her to continue like that. Wiping out Luna was considered an act of public service by many, and Dylan got into many people's good graces by doing so.
