The Bold and the Beautiful's Dylan and Electra have finally found their way back to one another as best friends after several months of conflict over Will. On the June 4, 2026, edition of the soap, Dylan vowed to be there for Electra through the good times and the bad, but it felt like the calm before the storm that will wipe away their friendship for good.
The Bold and the Beautiful's next betrayal

Thursday's all-new episode featured Dylan (Sydney Bullock) and Electra (Laneya Grace) seemingly back to normal, with their friendship drama finally in the past. They discussed Will (Crew Morrow) being fired from Forrester and how it would impact the overall morale at the office. While Dylan did appear sympathetic to Electra's current ordeal, it's difficult not to remember the conversation she had with R.J. earlier in the week, where she openly admitted that she still had lingering feelings for Will. The more Electra expressed genuine gratitude about having Dylan back as her close friend and confidant, the more it showed how devastating the eventual demise will be.
On the surface, it seems as if the greatest challenge of their friendship is firmly behind them, but viewers know otherwise. The episode went out of its way to make it look as if Dylan and Electra could survive anything, setting them up as high as possible before the downfall. If someone watched today's episode and hadn't watched anything else, they'd be convinced that the love triangle was mostly over. The stronger the friendship becomes, the deeper the pain will become when Dylan betrays Electra.
Snake in the grass

Although Dylan and Electra felt like they were gfully back on track, the elephant in the room was their mutual adoration for Will. Dylan discussed Will's firing as if she was only a concerned friend and not someone that was still actively pining away for her prince. Electra is currently unaware of Dylan's feelings for Will, which made it all the more uncomfortable for everyone watching at home. Dylan wants what Electra has, and as a result, every comment in support of Will and Electra rang hollow. Will and Electra are more serious than ever now that they're living together, so Dylan might be longing for something that will never be obtainable.
The happier Will and Electra become, despite the professional distance, the more Dylan might struggle with keeping her feelings to herself. Nothing they discussed feel like it was about resolving any of the drama. By the end of today's episode, Dylan and Electra were closer than ever, and the tables have reversed with Dylan being the one setting up Electra for an emotional spiral. Dylan is living in a fantasy friendship, and RJ is the dragon that will destroy it all.
