The Bold and the Beautiful's Donna Logan has officially suited up to become Brooke's new super soldier. On the May 22, 2026, edition of the soap, she proved that she will always choose Brooke over Katie, and nothing will ever change that.

The Bold and the Beautiful's Donna should've stayed neutral

Donna (Jennifer Gareis) has completely vacated her longstanding role as Switzerland of the Logan family. She did her best not to pick sides when Eric (John McCook) defected from Forrester to Logan, but the moment he decided to return to his family company, her true loyalties became clear. Donna was always going to ultimately find herself on the side of Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) because that was the path of least resistance. Brooke is the self-appointed matriarch of the family, and Donna has never fully allowed herself the ability to have a true voice. She's always been the fade-into-the-background kind of Logan, and someone like her is never going to stand up to someone like Brooke. However, the way she's blasting her family for wanting Hope (Annika Noelle) to join Logan is appalling.

Donna didn't just blast Katie (Heather Tom) for wanting to bring Hope into the fold at Logan. She also ripped into Bill (Don Diamont) and even Hope's own husband, Liam (Scott Clifton), for daring to separate mother and daughter. Does Donna not work at Forrester alongside her husband? Why would it be so terrible for Hope and Liam to work together? Everyone is forced to bow down at the altar of Brooke Logan, and enough is enough. What exactly are they worshipping? Someone who completely unravels whenever anyone dares to take some of the spotlight away from her. Hope should be able to make her own decisions, but Donna is determined to strip her niece of all autonomy and force her into Forrester submission.

Donna's real fear is Brooke

The most frustrating part of Donna's entire stance is that nobody seems remotely interested in what Hope actually wants for herself. Everyone keeps framing this as Katie trying to "steal" Hope away from Brooke and Forrester, as if Hope isn't a grown woman capable of making her own professional decisions.

Leaving Forrester feels like it's probably the best thing for Hope mentally and for her career. This is Hope's chance to escape the cycle that surrounds Brooke and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and finally step away from Steffy's (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) grudge against her. Katie and Liam are the only people currently validating Hope instead of gaslighting her into believing she should accept the crumbs that Forrester is dangling in front of her.

For the first time in many years, Hope has people willing to offer her the world instead of forcing her to wait for her moment that might never arrive. Donna isn't afraid that Hope is going to go to Logan. She's afraid that Brooke will lose control and all hell will break loose at Forrester.
