Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful
Yes, cheating is de riguer on soap operas and has been since the birth of the genre, but that still doesn't make it right. And the way that Deacon and Taylor have been going about things makes it even more ick. Often, soap opera affairs happen in the heat of the moment. A tense and emotional scene will lead to a fit of passion in which both parties regret what they did and swear they'll never do it again. Sometimes that works and...sometimes it doesn't. That is not what is happening with Deacon and Taylor. Deacon has been actively pursuing Taylor for months, despite being married. Taylor has tried to push him away for multiple reasons, but apparently, these two, who have hardly ever shared scenes outside her therapy office, are so madly in love with one another that they are in the throes of a planned-out affair. Deacon actually asked his daughter to cover for him so he could go have sex with his girlfriend. It doesn't get more stomach-churning than that. Or maybe it does. Deacon chose to allow his wife to think he wanted to make it work and gave her no indication that he wanted to end their marriage, yet he planned a clandestine meeting with Taylor, knowing he didn't want to be married anymore. Ok, then tell her. Don't cheat on her. The end.
