Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful
As expected, Eric Forrester's designs for "Logan" may never see the light of day. His age and his health are taking their toll, meaning Eric really should be listening to Donna. Eric needs to see a doctor and focus on his well-being and not dresses. When Ridge learns what is going on, he will surely feel vindicated and tell everyone, "I told you so," regarding Eric, but maybe this is all Ridge's doing. Maybe it's not designing that has been stressing Eric out. Maybe it's his determination to prove that he still has what it takes, despite his son forcing him to retire from his own company. Perhaps if Ridge had just allowed Eric to design at his own pace and not made him feel inadequate, Eric would be in better shape right now. However, we are impressed that The Bold and the Beautiful actually acknowledged Eric's age, as we don't usually hear numbers on soaps, especially with older characters who often stay forever young, no matter how old they are. Eric is 80 years old, which is well past retirement age. However, we now live in a world in which multiple people older than Eric serve in Congress, so who is to say when someone should hang up their hats and play golf all day? Or, in Eric's case, pickleball. (We're sure Donna would love that life.)
