For almost sixteen years, The Bold and the Beautiful's Bill Spencer has charmed his way into our hearts with his brash, ruthless, and sexy persona. Money-loving "Dollar Bill" never pulls any punches, and he stops at nothing to get what he wants. Here are just four reasons why we love Bill:

He stands by "his Katie" on The Bold and the Beautiful

We all know how poorly The Bold and the Beautiful's Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) treated Katie (Heather Tom) in the past. He had an affair with her own sister, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), and he even married her and got her pregnant.

But over the past few months, Bill has sure been doing his darndest to make up for it. He managed to charm his way back into Katie's heart. But let's be honest. She never stopped loving Bill, even after he betrayed her with Brooke. He remarried Katie and gifted her a beautiful fashion house as a wedding present. Since then, he's been standing by "his Katie" with love and support. He's been melting not only her heart, but our own hearts as well.

It's been great to watch Bill by her side, wanting the best for her and wanting her to succeed in her new career. It's also been refreshing to watch him defend her to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), making The Dressmaker aware that Katie felt unappreciated and undervalued when she worked at Forrester Creations. Let's hope that Bill continues on this path as a devoted husband to Katie. We hope that this revamped couple is here to stay!

He tells it like it is, without mincing any words

We wanted to stand up and applaud when Bill aired Ridge's dirty laundry at the Logan launch, telling everyone that Ridge threw Eric (John McCook) a surprise retirement party when Eric didn't even want to retire. Bill told everyone that Eric was "kicked to the curb and put out to pasture by his own son." Hip hip hurray! We love it when Bill speaks the truth. He doesn't care what the Forresters think!

Notice how Liam (Scott Clifton) is standing beside Bill here, looking like he feels sorry for Eric -- and maybe even a little ashamed that Bill, his father, is exposing such a private Forrester matter at a very public event. But take notes, Liam. This is how it's done. Bill didn't get to where he is by being a lily-livered, shrinking violet.

As a matter of fact, we wonder whether the B&B writers might consider having Bill pursue a career in politics. After all, he is charismatic, a great speaker, a dapper dresser, and he knows how to get people's attention. Perhaps he could hand over the reins of Spencer Publications to Liam while he campaigns? How would Katie feel about being the wife of a politician? These could be interesting questions for the B&B writers to explore.

He is a loving and supportive father to his sons

Bill was by Liam's hospital bedside when we thought that Liam was dying. He gave a beautiful toast at Liam and Hope's wedding, expressing sentiments that nearly brought tears to our eyes. "You are the man I look up to," he told Liam. "You have many wonderful qualities. Your quiet confidence, your sharp wit, the way you love your children, the reverence you have for their mothers. You have most certainly contributed to some of the changes that I needed to make. And those changes brought my Katie back into my life."

Bill was also there for his youngest son, Will (Crew Morrow), after Luna (Lisa Yamada) sexually assaulted Will and tried to weasel her way into the wealthy Spencer family. That was when Bill finally woke up and realized how wrong he was to get the double-murderess pardoned. We love seeing Bill as a fierce papa bear in action. Now, if we could only get Wyatt (Darin Brooks) back on The Bold and the Beautiful canvas, we could see Bill interact with all three of his sons. It's always fun to watch the Spencer men spend quality time together.

He has become a kinder, gentler Bill

Even though Katie gave Bill back his famous sword necklace as a wedding gift, he has mellowed quite a bit over the years. We've seen evidence of this in his treatment of some of the other characters on The Bold and the Beautiful. He never cared very much for Hope (Annika Noelle) in the past, but with Liam's recent remarriage to her, Bill is more accepting of her as Liam's wife.

Bill even complimented Deacon (Sean Kanan) recently, when they had a rather friendly chat at Il Giardino. He admired that Deacon turned his life around and made a name for himself, admitting that Il Giardino has the best pizza in town. When Deacon shared that he's thinking about expanding the business, Bill said he may consider investing in the expansion. He even confessed to Deacon that he's trying to change his ways. We scratched our heads and wondered whether we were really watching The Bold and the Beautiful. Bill and Deacon were actually getting along? It couldn't be so! But we were delighted that it was.

Let's see more of this Dollar Bill. He may not be as ruthless as he used to be, but maybe that's a good thing. Besides, he still has some gusto in him. We loved how he danced into Katie's office the day after the Logan launch, celebrating their success. We love that she brings out his romantic side. We adore his sense of humor and the way he drives Ridge crazy. In short, we love everything about our Dollar Bill Spencer, and we hope that he never changes.
