We all know how nutty soap plots can be, and The Bold and the Beautiful tales are no exception. Characters do things they would normally never do, storylines get dropped for no reason, and we're left scratching our heads. Here are four current things on B&B that don't make any sense:
Why hasn't Katie interviewed Deke yet on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Many of us are anticipating that The Bold and the Beautiful's Katie (Heather Tom) is going to hire Deke (Harrison Cone) to design for her at Logan. She spoke with him at Il Giardino weeks ago, saying that she was interested in meeting with him at a later date (for an interview, we presume). Since then, nothing more has happened. What's holding up the parade?
We realize that soap writers like to drag out storylines, but this is a "strike while the iron is hot" situation. Katie should have jumped on it as soon as possible. She is starting her own design house, and she needs to build her staff. She needs a design team. Deke is a talented young designer, fresh out of design school. In the time that he's been waiting for her to schedule an interview with him, he could be snatched up by another fashion house -- and it would be Katie's loss. So, what is she waiting for?
Where the heck is Liam?

The Bold and the Beautiful's Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Annika Noelle) got remarried over a month ago, but we have yet to see them together. That makes no sense, considering that Liam and Hope were part of the popular triangle of Hope, Liam, and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that continued for a decade or longer. Heck, that triangle was like the Energizer Bunny. It kept going and going and going.
Now, it looks as though the B&B writers have finally landed on Liam and Hope as the permanent couple (we suspect), especially since Steffy has been blissfully married to Finn (Tanner Novlan) for years. So, why haven't we seen Liam and Hope enjoying their newlywed status? Why haven't we seen Liam at all? Is he visiting his brother, Wyatt (Darin Brooks)? Did Dollar Bill (Don Diamont) send him on a business trip for Spencer Publications? Did he get abducted by aliens from outer space? Where the heck is Liam?
Taylor is afraid of Sheila one minute, but not afraid of her the next?

It's perplexing that Taylor (Rebecca Budig) is telling Deacon (Sean Kanan) that she isn't afraid of Sheila's (Kimberlin Brown) reaction to their feelings for each other. Oh, really, Taylor? Every time Sheila barges into her office, Taylor looks uneasy. And yet, she's now telling Deacon that she isn't afraid of Sheila? Where did all of her courage suddenly come from?
Did Taylor buy a gun for protection? Did she hire a bodyguard? Why is she suddenly not afraid of the woman who clearly has her rattled every time she bursts into her office? The woman who shot her years ago? The woman who shot her daughter, Steffy?
This confusion is coming from a longtime Taylor fan. We all have our personal likes and dislikes of certain characters, but even our favorites do things sometimes that don't make sense to us. This is one of those times, for this particular writer.
Why hasn't Steffy shared her concerns with Ridge?

Even though The Bold and the Beautiful's Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) doesn't get to have a say about who Taylor is attracted to, this is a special case that involves a potentially dangerous person. Since Steffy is worried about Sheila's reaction to the Deacon/Taylor attraction, why doesn't she confide in her father, Ridge, and ask him to help her knock some sense into Taylor?
Considering that Steffy has already confronted Taylor, Hope, and Deacon, it feels like this is one of those "desperate times call for desperate measures" situations. Ridge may have chosen Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) to be his wife, but he still cares about Taylor's well-being. So, why doesn't Steffy do an "intervention" for her mother and get Ridge involved to try to convince Taylor to keep her distance from Deacon, considering that her safety and the safety of their family could be at risk? Maybe Steffy could even get Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) involved in the family discussion, via video chat?
Also, considering all the people who already know about Deacon's and Taylor's shared feelings, why hasn't Ridge found out already through the grapevine? It's a wonder that Hope hasn't mentioned anything to her mother, Brooke. Brooke would have then shared the news with Ridge. Imagine what would have happened next! Ridge would have stormed over to Il Giardino and told Deacon, "Stay the hell away from Taylor! You're not good enough for her." Sheila could have been standing somewhere in the background, overhearing it. That way, Ridge could have inadvertently blown the secret wide open. And then, the real fun would begin!
It just feels weird that Ridge is being left out of this storyline, when he could be the person who unwittingly gets the ball rolling -- with his big mouth! We're all wondering how Sheila is going to discover the secret. Wouldn't it be an amazing surprise if Ridge were the one who blabbed, accidentally?
