On The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy Forrester tends to rub many people the wrong way. Steffy typically plays by her own set of rules, and she has no problem dictating how others should live their lives. That mindset was on full display this week after she discovered that her mother and Deacon were still carrying on. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood's portrayal of a daughter petrified by the fallout of her mother's actions easily earned her this week's honors.
The Bold and the Beautiful, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, Performer of the Week

Few can command a scene like Wood. Everything Steffy says feels important, whether she comes across as likable or not. Steffy can be one of the most infuriating parts of the show, but what she says holds weight, regardless of whether she's right or wrong. This week that talents shone through in her scenes with Rebecca Budig's Taylor regarding her inappropriate relationship with Deacon. Steffy was forced to make the most painful choice imaginable, and the face behind the character made the emotions jump to life.
Taylor's inability to maintain a healthy distance from Deacon led Steffy to issue a heartbreaking ultimatum. Her mother could either cut Deacon out of her life for good or lose access to Steffy and her grandchildren. This wasn't an idle threat, as Steffy had issued similar ultimatums to Finn regarding Sheila and Luna in the past. The emotional plea from a traumatized daughter to her lost mother was enough to hand over the honors to wood. Nothing else came close to touching the raw reaction that Steffy had after discovering her mother hadn't let go of Deacon.
The rest of the week featured Steffy making a plea to her father, Ridge, hopeful that he could find a way to snap Taylor back into reality. She believes this is entirely unlike Taylor, and she begged Ridge to save her mother from her own worst impulses. Wood understoof the assignment and delivered her scathing read of Taylor with conviction and believability.
What's next for Steffy?

This week's episodes concluded with Ridge walking in on Deacon and Taylor kissing. If Ridge takes this information to his daughter, Steffy is likely headed toward another epic showdown with Taylor. She warned her on several occasions to steer clear of Deacon because of the potential threat from Sheila. Taylor refused to listen, and now consequences may be in order for the good doctor. Steffy made the threat about cutting Taylor off from the rest of the family, so it's up to her to follow through.
Luckily for Steffy, Sheila has remained entirely oblivious to what's happening between Deacon and Taylor. However, the longer they sneak around behind Sheila's back without coming clean, the more intense a reaction they are likely to incite from her. Steffy's biggest fear is herself or her family becoming collateral damage in this twisted love triangle, and the danger increases the longer it remains a secret.
Steffy doesn't want to cut her mother out of her life, but in her eyes, Taylor is leaving her no choice. Ridge is the biggest wildcard in everything because he could maintain the peace by keeping what he saw to himself. If Ridge divulges any of it to Steffy, there will be no peace within the family, and things will go from bad to nuclear.
