On The Bold and the Beautiful, Donna Logan is sometimes the "forgotten" sister of the Logan trio. She's frequently overlooked and placed on the back burner in favor of Brooke and Katie. However, in recent weeks, Donna has been put in the center of a continuously escalating feud between her sisters. To make matters worse, Eric signed on as Katie's lead designer, forcing Donna to lie to Brooke's face and beg her husband to take a step back. Her emotional performance made Jennifer Gareis an easy pick for this week's honors.
The Bold and the Beautiful, Jennifer Gareis, Performer of the Week

Gareis made a name for herself this week on The Bold and the Beautiful. While the actress has always showcased significant talent, she proved that she belongs in the conversation with Heather Tom and Katherine Kelly Lang. Donna has tried to be the most supportive wife possible. She truly has. However, Eric's (John McCook) new job has taken a clear toll on his health, and Donna's desperate to prevent her husband from having a medical crisis. The consequences could be dire, and nobody realized that more than Donna.
During the showdown between Bill (Don Diamont), Katie, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and Brooke, Donna begged for everyone to stop the fighting. She only cared what was best for Eric. Unlike everyone else, she had no ulterior motives or hidden agendas. Gareis brilliantly portrayed a frightened wife, afraid of the grind of the fashion industry, driving him toward an untimely grave. When Eric had his breathing episode on Thursday's episode, the panic in Donna's eyes only felt as real as it did because of Gareis' passion for her craft.
What's next for Donna?

On Friday's episode, Donna did her best to achieve peace amid Brooke and Katie's continued embattlement. However, the episode concluded with Brooke declaring to Katie that Eric was no longer her designer. If the drama keeps going, Donna's role as mediator will eventually change, and she'll be forced to pick a side. She can't remain as Switzerland forever. Not in a family like she's in. Eventually, she'll need to find her voice and have a bigger backbone with both sisters.
Donna's one and only priority is Eric, and as such, she's going to proceed in whatever way that's going to be the best for him. That remains in limbo to some extent, and a blowout confrontation taking place early next week between Team Forrester and Team Spencer might shed some light on that. Donna has the biggest decision of her life ahead of her. Does she remain loyal to Brooke (and Forrester), or does she take a stand alongside Katie and fight the machine?
