The Bold and the Beautiful finally allowed Taylor Hayes to escape the endless cycle of Ridge's waffling between her and Brooke. While Deacon would've been the last choice for the good doctor, she appears to have fallen in love with him. This week, Sheila has struck fear in Taylor on multiple occasions, coming close to uncovering the affair, and Rebecca Budig's stellar facial expressions and display of fear earn her this week's honors.

Say whatever you want about Rebecca Budig's version of Taylor, but there's no denying the acting prowess of the daytime TV veteran. At the beginning of the week, Taylor looked death in the eye when she believed Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) was going to stab her with the kitchen knife. It was nearly impossible not to feel the genuine terror that Taylor felt in that moment, and that is almost entirely due to Budig's performance as a helpless victim caught in the act of betrayal. Taylor truly believed that Sheila was going to finish her off, and Budig's trembling voice and panicked eyes made every second all the more chilling.

The closing moments of Friday's all-new episode featured a second run-in between Taylor and Sheila, but this time the latter had put all of the pieces together. Earlier in the week, Sheila believed Taylor was under attack, and she simply wanted to save her life, but now Sheila knows about Deacon (Sean Kanan) and Taylor's ultimate betrayal, and Nurse Carter is ready to dose Taylor with some revenge-coated medicine. Although Sheila is downright terrifying in her own right, Budig sold the moment like a total pro, and once again, viewers could feel every racing heartbeat as Taylor felt moments away from her demise.

What's next for Taylor?

The Bold and the Beautiful's Taylor is in more danger now than she has been since the last time Sheila wanted her dead. She knows, possibly better than anyone, how willing Sheila is to resort to violence when she feels backed into a corner. Not only has Sheila shot Taylor's daughter, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), but she has also previously fired a bullet into Taylor herself, leading to her supposed death. Sheila doesn't typically issue hollow threats, and Taylor should have considered that before engaging in intimate contact with her husband. Taylor and Deacon have walked a thin, tightrope for months, and it's finally snapped. Time is up, and now everything Steffy warned them about may be coming to fruition.

Sheila has Taylor cornered in her office, and now that she knows the truth, or at least part of it, she's not going to rest until she gets revenge. Deacon may have safely slipped out of Taylor's office, under the incorrect assumption that he wasn't followed. Taylor, on the other hand, is across the room from her worst nightmare personified, and there's nothing she can do to stop Sheila from unleashing a barrage of pain on her. Sheila believed that Taylor was the answer to all of her prayers to keep her marriage intact. Instead, Taylor was actively sneaking around behind her back and growing closer to her husband by the day. There's almost no chance that Sheila is going to allow the pair to walk away from this reveal unscathed.
