Here is your The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, April 1, 2026, when Sheila inched closer to the truth about Deacon and Taylor.
What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

While on the phone with Deacon, Taylor reminded him of what a close call they had the night before when Sheila nearly caught them in bed together. "Thankfully, Sheila isn't onto us," Deacon said. Taylor was so sure, but Steffy began calling for her mom, so Taylor rushed off the phone after telling Deacon that Steffy knew what had happened.
"Please tell me you weren't talking to Deacon," Steffy said when she opened the door. Steffy's panic attack over Sheila catching wind of what was going on returned as she chastised her mother and begged her to stay away from Deacon. "This is so dangerous. She had a knife. Thank God Deacon got out in time," Steffy said. "Tell me that call right now with Deacon is the last time you're going to speak to him ever again."
Taylor continued to make excuses for seeing Deacon, saying that they never imagined Sheila would show up. She was sure they'd be all alone. Steffy couldn't believe what she was hearing. She once again put her foot down. "You need to stay away from Deacon. You can't bring Sheila back into our lives," Steffy declared.
Steffy started wondering what her dad would do if he knew what Taylor had been up to, but Taylor didn't even want to think about it. "Ridge doesn't need to know. This is my life. Not his," Taylor said. Steffy could only tell her mom how reckless she had been. She reminded her that she risked losing Steffy and the kids if she continued to see Deacon.
"The pull to Deacon is just too strong? Stronger to your grandchildren and me?" Steffy asked. Taylor insisted that Steffy and the kids meant everything to her. She thought that she and Deacon were safe and that she wasn't putting anyone at risk. Steffy pointed out that some things can't be anticipated.
Steffy finally left Taylor's room, but not before saying, "You need Deacon out of your life once and for all."

After Taylor hung up on him, Deacon welcomed Hope and Deke to his apartment. Hope told her father that she and her brother were concerned after Deacon asked her to cover for him. "Dad, I do think you owe us an explanation. It has something to do with Sheila, doesn't it?" Hope asked.
Deacon confirmed to his kids that he was indeed with Taylor the previous night. "I'm sorry that I involved you," Deacon told Hope. "We have tried to keep our distance from each other, but couldn't do it any longer." Hope worried about how freaked out Deacon was when he called a second time.
Deacon was forced to admit that Sheila had stopped by the cliff house, but he escaped before she found him with Taylor. Hope and Deke were beside themselves when they heard the whole story and seemed as panicked as Steffy. "We're just going to have to be more careful," Deacon said, which didn't satisfy Hope and Deke.
Deacon insisted that Sheila wasn't onto him, at least he didn't think she was. "She didn't question Taylor. She didn't hint that she knew anything," Deacon said. Deke told Hope she was right to be panicked, and Deacon admitted he was also somewhat freaked.
"She didn't go after Taylor. She didn't go after me, but she had a ton of questions this morning," Deacon confessed, alarming his kids some more. "She could be waiting for the right moment to pounce when you let your guard down," Deke said. Deacon wanted to be the hero. "I'm not worried about me, but I'm committed to keeping Taylor safe," Deacon added.

Downstairs, Sheila picked up a knife to slice some limes. However, she couldn't stop thinking about seeing that pizza box on Steffy's coffee table. She asked one of her employees if he had delivered a pizza to Steffy and Finn's house. He told her he had not, which raised Sheila's suspicions.
Sheila tried to keep her mind off things by mingling with guests, but she still kept thinking about Deacon and Taylor possibly being together. She even looked down at the knife when she went back to slicing limes. "How did that pizza get to Taylor's?" Sheila wondered aloud.
She went back upstairs to her apartment to search for Deacon. When he was nowhere to be found, Sheila rifled through desk drawers until she spotted boots near the door that were covered in and filled with sand.
When Hope and Deke returned to Brooke's house, Hope went over what they had just learned. Deke admitted that he had been rooting for Deacon and Taylor, but now realized how wrong and frightening it was for them to be together. Hope agreed. "Taylor is certainly a wonderful woman, but after last night, it's just too dangerous for them," she said.

As for Deacon, he appeared in Steffy's office, where she told him to close the door. "You called. I came," he said. Steffy didn't mince words: "You decided to marry a deranged woman and that is on you, but please, leave my family out of this."
Deacon tried to explain his side, but Steffy didn't want to hear it. "You want to cheat on your wife? Fine, go do it with someone else," she angrily suggested. "I refuse to let my mother be a threat to myself or my family."
