Steffy, Taylor, Finn, and Ridge all stood around repeating the same things about Sheila. Taylor once again told them that she and Deacon believed Sheila didn't know about them. Ridge was once again grateful that Sheila didn't go after Taylor. And Taylor was still worried about Deacon.

Ridge didn't want Deacon to be hurt, but felt this was all his fault. Taylor took accountability and admitted that she was also to blame. "What's done is done. All we can do is make sure the kids are safe from Sheila," Steffy said. Just then, Hope popped in, prompting Steffy to roll her eyes at the ceiling.

She told Taylor she hadn't heard from Deacon and was worried. Hope looked at everyone's face and deduced that Sheila knew about the affair. Steffy started going off on Deacon, claiming he seduced his therapist. Taylor made excuses for Deacon, but Steffy refused to hear them. "Deacon shouldn't have been here," she correctly stated. As everyone argued, Taylor asked that they just stop pointing fingers.

When Taylor mentioned the pizza cutter, Hope was alarmed. Steffy just continued to roll her eyes and sigh as Ridge called the situation "reckless." The five of them went on and on about how crazy Sheila was and how Taylor was not to blame for any of this. Taylor did not agree.

Ridge then said something only Ridge would say. "Why don't you give yourself a break after everything you went through?" Taylor turned right to him as if to say, "Are you serious?" Instead, she said, "Everything I went through." Ridge remarked that it had been a difficult time for her. "I'm sorry if my going to Brooke pushed me into Deacon's arms."

Taylor looked him square in the face and told him she went into Deacon's arms willingly. "Hopefully, it's where I'll stay."

Sheila emerged from the bedroom in regular clothes after changing out of her nurses' uniform to find Deacon sitting on a chair, pensive. She didn't know if he'd still be there. "Did you think I was going to go rushing off to be with Taylor?" All Sheila could say was, "I still can't believe what was going on behind my back with you and Taylor, that it was real. I keep hoping that you're going to tell me it isn't."

Deacon said that he was sorry, but Sheila was more sorry. "I'm sorry I ever believed the saintly Dr. Taylor Hayes was ever going to save my marriage," Sheila said. Deacon claimed Taylor was not to blame; he was. Sheila said she didn't really care how or why it happened. "I just don't want it to be over for us. We've gotta try. We took vows. For better or for worse and this is our worst. We're not quitters. Our marriage is worth it," she pleaded.

Sheila admitted that she had done horrible things in her life, but Deacon had found a way to forgive her. "You changed your life for me...Until Taylor," she said. Deacon told her that she shouldn't be angry at Taylor. Sheila was incredulous. "Why can't I be? I believed she was my friend...and all she's been doing is taking my husband away from me, so why shouldn't I be furious?"

Deacon once again wanted to ensure that Sheila had not hurt Taylor. A frustrated Sheila insisted that she wasn't that person anymore. "I'm a different woman now because of you...tell me you still love me," she begged. Deacon couldn't do that, but acknowledged that he had seen the change in Sheila. Finally, he said those painful words: "I'm in love with Taylor. She's the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with."

Sheila asked if this was what he really wanted, while noting that she realized that Hope and Deke also wanted him away from Sheila. "Do they know?" she asked. After taking one look at Deacon's face, Sheila knew the answer. "God, how stupid could I have been?" she asked herself.

Sheila was heartbroken, but measured. "I can understand your kids not wanting their father with a woman who was an embarrassment," she said. Deacon insisted that she was never an embarrassment. Sheila knew that she had to have been, due to all the awful things she had done in her life. "I am never going to get away from them, but somehow, you always had an ability to look past it," Sheila said, telling Deacon he was an incredible man. "By some miracle, you were able to love me. I don't want that to end. I can't even think of you being with somebody else."

Sheila finally realized she had to walk away for now, before she said or did something she'd regret. Deacon agreed, but Sheila kept talking, saying how she just hoped he would tell her this was nothing more than a passing thing. "But I see it in your eyes...and she's everything that I'm not. And she doesn't scare you. You're not afraid of her," Sheila said,

Deacon denied being afraid of his wife, but Sheila knew the truth. Deacon didn't make his case any better when he told Sheila that she "can't retaliate against the people I love." He asked her to promise that she wouldn't. "I won't hurt anyone. I swear," Sheila quietly said. "As much as it hurts, I'm going to accept the decision that you have made."

Sheila said she would send for her things. "But I do love you so much and there's nothing or anyone that's ever going to change that for me," she said before giving Deacon a gentle kiss on the lips. Sheila walked out and ended up downstairs at the bar where she remembered her wedding vows and her life with Deacon. "I'll get back. This isn't over for us, Deacon," she quietly said, with just sadness in her voice.
