The Bold and the Beautiful Recap August 20: Steffy Starts to Tell Finn About Her and Carter

Here's your recap for The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Thursday, August 20, 2026, as two surprise reunions gave birth to a secret.

At the Cliff House, Steffy told Finn that he was not the one who needed forgiveness. Finn told Steffy that she had nothing to apologize for, and he said that Sheila wasn’t going to be around. Steffy kept trying to tell Finn something (about what happened with Carter, most likely), but he kept cutting her off with profuse apologies.

Finn said that he should have told Steffy about Sheila. Steffy said that she made a mistake, and she was hoping that they could forgive each other. Finn thanked Steffy, telling her that he loved her and the kids more than anything in the world. Finn said seeing Steffy so hurt that he was devastated. She said that she drank on the plane. Finn said nothing happened that they couldn’t overcome.

Steffy said that she had something to apologize for. Finn asked Steffy if he could put the rings back on her finger where they belonged. He asked her to put her faith in him and he’d never betray her again. Finns said he’d lose the best part of himself without Steffy. “I believe you. I love you,” Steffy shared. Finn and Steffy embraced. He promised nothing would ever come between them.

Finn’s phone got a message. Steffy urged him to take the call. She loved the way he takes care of her patience. He told her to never doubt his love for her, the way he never doubted hers for him. Finn left as Steffy was overwhelmed with emotion.

A Daphne Rose by Any Other Name

At Forrester Creations, Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) promised never to run away from Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) ever again. Daphne asked Carter if he still had her ring. He reached into his pocket and took it out. “Please give it back to me,” she said. “I swear I will never take it off.” Carter placed the ring back on Daphne’s finger. She promised to leave it on as a symbol of their love and commitment. Daphne Rose said knowing that she could never have children truly broke her. She added that they made vows for better or worse and that they could get through anything. He said that he wanted to believe that. Daphne Rose promised never to hurt Carter again.

Steffy entered Eric’s office, interrupting Carter and Daphne Rose’s embrace. Daphne brought Steffy up to speed on how she came back after making a big mistake. Daphne left, telling Carter that she’d see him at home. Carter asked Steffy if she’d told Finn. She said no. Carter said they both have to lie. “It was a mistake,” Carter said. “It was a terrible mistake.” He urged her to forget about it or they’d lose everything. “Finn cannot know,” Carter stated.

In the design room, across the hall from Eric’s office, Electra put Dylan on notice. She wasn’t making any more mistakes with Dylan. Electra said that Dylan wanted to use her to get into the Spencer family. Dylan said that she never meant to fall in love with Will; it just happened. Dylan said she can’t help it. She loves Will. She just does.

Dylan apologizes again to Electra. The Forrester designer pointed out that Dylan kissed Will while he and Electra were still together. Electra yelled out that she would always love Will! Then, Eric entered. He reminded the women that this was a place of business. He gave Dylan some designs to take to the cutting room. She left. Eric told Electra that he wanted to talk to her about the jewelry line.

Eric told Electra that no one at Forrester could be distracted right now as she was. He urged her not to associate with Logan Designs or Will Spencer – ever again.

I've Got an Idea

In the showroom, Zende lamented Hope ditching Forrester for Logan Designs. RJ said that Electra could take over for Hope. RJ suggested that they promote Electra as the woman who could do anything. Zende said this was a good idea. RJ said Electra was the answer to their problems.

An Electra-fying Proposal

RJ interrupted Electra and Eric in the design room. He was glad Eric was there. RJ said that he told his father he had an idea. Eric said it sounded intriguing. RJ said that Hope did Forrester Creations a favor when she left. He suggested they move to the future. RJ suggested that Electra represent a new youth line, which will focus on her elegance and beauty. He asked Eric what she thought. “You may be onto something,” Eric said. RJ suggested: “Electra by Electra Forrester.”
