Here is your The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Monday, February 16, 2026 where Eric struggles with his decision to design for Logan.
What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Ridge went in for his annual physical, and although he was cleared, the doctor had some concerns. However, the concerns were about Eric. Evidently, the doctor noted that Eric reported being stressed, which Ridge found concerning. There was no plausible reason for Eric to be stressed during his retirement.
Ridge was confused about why Eric would be too busy to return his calls or texts. Donna walked into the CEO's office, and Brooke and Ridge inquired about Eric's health. They knew he was stressed, and they wanted to know why. Eric wasn't running Forrester anymore, so it didn't make sense that he'd be that stressed.
Donna did her best to play off Eric's stress as something minor. He struggled with the reality of retirement, but Donna let it slip that Eric started something new. Ridge asked where the pressure came from because if he wasn't leading Forrester, why would he be facing such inner turmoil?
After Donna left, Ridge speculated that Donna was covering for Eric. Ridge missed his father, and he never saw him anymore because Eric avoided the halls of Forrester like the plague. Some of Ridge's favorite moments at Forrester were spent alongside his father. The connection they shared transcended a normal workplace and was special and rare.

Katie and Bill pressed Eric for a timeline on when he'd have his first collection completed. Eric danced around the subject and stated that these things take time, and he couldn't be rushed. Katie wanted to put Logan on the map, and Bill asked Eric if he understood how much rode on this launch.
Katie did her best to mediate the situation, but Bill wanted results. Two models walked in wearing some of Eric's designs, and he was not impressed with the quality. He explained that although they were his designs, they weren't at all what he expected. Eric was worried about the execution of his designs, and several details needed to be corrected.
Bill didn't see any issues with the designs, and he reminded Eric that this was simply a first look. Unimpressed, Eric pointed out the flaws. Bill explained that he needed to make an executive decision to go with a different vendor. If Logan opted to go with the vendor of Eric's choosing, word could've gotten out that he was the mystery designer.
Katie asked the models to head out, so she and Bill could continue the conversation with Eric. She asked if Eric was okay, and although he was, he refused to compromise the quality of his designs. Eric demanded that they delay Logan's launch until he could secure what he needed.
Bill asked for an estimate on how much time it would take. Eric wouldn't budge on his demands, though. Bill reminded Eric that he had promised Katie a complete collection, and Eric vowed to make good on that promise. Donna arrived in the middle of the tense meeting, and Katie decided to table it because they weren't getting anywhere.

Once Bill and Katie cleared the room, Donna asked Eric what was happening. She noticed how stressed her husband was, and it wasn't healthy for him. Donna wondered if it was Bill who had him worked up or if the job itself had become too overwhelming.
Donna and Eric returned home, and she brought up the concerns levied by Eric's doctor. Eric was furious that his doctor violated doctor-patient confidentiality, but Donna didn't want to hear it. Eric wanted to create a special line to prove himself to everyone, but what he witnessed in the Logan offices wasn't what he had in mind.
Donna asked Eric how he planned to mitigate the situation. Would he spend more hours at the office? Would he become stressed to the point that it impacted his health? Donna questioned whether Eric could even continue to work alongside Bill and Katie if things stayed on their current path.
Eric hated working with Spencer, but he refused to prove Ridge right. Donna reassured Eric that nobody would look down on him if he threw in the towel. She wanted him to forget about everyone else for a moment and tell her how he was feeling. Eric was 80 years old and overwhelmed.
Donna pleaded with Eric to open up to her. He loved the idea of still being valued and respected in the fashion industry. However, he wished he were home more often.
Eric wanted to be at Forrester with Ridge and his grandchildren. They shared a tearful embrace, and Donna urged him to take his health more seriously. Donna said, "You're gonna have to tell Bill and Katie that you can't design for Logan."

Bill and Katie continued their conversation in private, and Bill raised concerns about Eric's idea to delay the launch. Bill supported Katie in her endeavor, but Eric was becoming a wildcard that could ruin Logan's success. Bill wasn't infatuated by Eric's creative talents. He needed results, or they'd never break even on this company.
Bill didn't want to send Eric into an untimely grave. Still, Eric needed to compromise a bit. Katie defended Eric because she believed in his ability. Beyond that, this was personal. Eric was family, which made it a more delicate situation. Katie appreciated how badly Bill wanted this venture to succeed, but he needed to back off Eric a bit.
Eric's legacy was on the line, and at Logan, he wasn't surrounded by his entire family. He was keeping this secret from everyone, which was undoubtedly playing a role in his increased stress levels.
