Steffy eavesdropped on Taylor's conversation outside her office, prompting her to charge into the room and ask if she was still seeing Deacon as a patient. Steffy demanded that Taylor come to her senses and realize that she can't be with Deacon.

Taylor was proud of the progress she had made as Deacon's therapist and wanted to remain his therapist. Steffy wasn't convinced that Taylor could overlook her feelings for Deacon. However, putting that aside, Steffy worried about the ramifications if Sheila found out about their connection.

Steffy knew the danger that Sheila posed to their family. All it took was one wrong move on Taylor and Deacon's part, and she could snap. The last thing any of them needed was Sheila reverting to her old ways and potentially causing harm.

Taylor confessed that she developed feelings for Deacon, feelings that she hadn't felt for anyone since Ridge. Steffy wanted Taylor to move on, but she refused to budge from her stance that Deacon was the wrong guy. Sheila was too great a threat to their safety to overlook the impact that this could have.

Steffy was finished playing nice with her mother, and she made her stance crystal clear. She told Taylor, "We are not messing with Sheila. I had to draw the line with Finn, and now I'm drawing the line with you." Steffy made a final plea for her mother to drop Deacon as a patient. She was petrified at the idea of Sheila going on another rampage.

Sheila attempted to connect with Deacon at home, but he was distant and focused on other things. Sheila asked Deacon what was going on between him and Taylor. She was surprised that he continued to see her as a patient, but she was glad to hear it.

Sheila remained firm in her stance that Taylor was the sole reason that her marriage was revived. Despite Taylor expressing how uncomfortable that made her, Sheila continued to run with that narrative.

After Sheila took off, Hope dropped by the apartment to visit her father. Deacon considered Hope's visit to be a nice surprise. Hope was glad that Sheila wasn't around because she had something important to say to him. She asked what exactly was happening between Deacon and Taylor.

Deacon completely sidestepped the question and asked Hope for an update on her new marriage to Liam. Hope confirmed that everything was going well with Liam and Beth. Deacon wanted a visit with Beth, but Hope had a significant boundary in place. Sheila was not allowed near her daughter, and she wasn't budging.

Hope brought the conversation back to the original question and asked whether what Deke told her was true: had Deacon truly developed feelings for Taylor? Deacon was frustrated that Deke hadn't kept their conversation to himself. Hope asked Deacon not to be upset with his son, but Hope believed that she shouldn't have been included in that category.

Even if Deke hadn't come to Hope, Steffy already expressed her own list of concerns. Hope didn't want Deacon to deny his happiness to anyone. Following her heart led her back to Liam, so as Deacon's daughter, she supported the idea of him and Taylor. He had her unconditional support.

Deacon confessed that he did indeed have feelings for Taylor. However, pursuing that would put Taylor in danger. Deacon believed that Sheila would go nuts, and if that happened, Taylor could become collateral damage.

Sheila spotted Li entering Il Giardino and felt that her friend's visit couldn't have come at a better time. She offered Li a drink while she waited for the order to be ready. Li asked whether there was any new trouble in their marriage, and Sheila wasn't sure how to answer.

Li wondered what had happened to make Sheila's hope for her marriage wane so quickly. Sheila wished that Deacon's children were more supportive of their relationship, but Hope and Deke practically begged Deacon to walk away. Li warned Sheila that there was a chance that Deacon's children would never accept their marriage.

Sheila expressed gratitude for Taylor's support. She told Li that Taylor was the number one person in her corner, and once again gushed about the impact Taylor had on the resurrection of her marriage.

In the Forrester showroom, Electra filled R.J. in about what went down with Luna. However, their trip down memory lane was cut short as Will happily interrupted the conversation. He referred to R.J. as the golden boy, which seemed to rub R.J. the wrong way.

R.J. explained that he returned to Los Angeles so he could see his parents back together for himself. Electra told Will that she and R.J were meeting for the first time, which was surprising since they were technically cousins. However, the Forrester duo were quick to point out that the relation was in name only, and not by blood.

R.J. congratulated Will on landing someone as incredible as Electra. Will agreed. He believed that Electra's choice of him made him the luckiest man in the world. Will was shocked that R.J. was remaining in Los Angeles for a while, but he wanted to clear the air. He didn't want any of Bill and Ridge's bad blood to get in the way of their new working relationship.

After Will left, Electra received word that she was needed later at the office. There was an important deadline, so she needed to cancel her plans with Will. R.J. remarked that Electra's phone call didn't go as expected, and Electra admitted that Ivy needed her late at the office for the jewelry line.

A bit later, at the beach house, Dylan was doing laundry when she ran into Will, who was making dinner for Electra. She promised to give the young lovers total privacy, so they could enjoy their much-needed romantic evening.

Electra called Will to deliver the bad news that she wasn't coming home for dinner. She was also under the impression that Ivy didn't approve of their sleepovers. However, if Ivy wasn't supportive, it led Electra to wonder whether Eric had an issue with it, too.

Will wasn't confused why any of those opinions mattered. But for Electra, it did. She respected her family too much to cross the boundaries set. Will said that he understood, and their love was important to him. Dylan showed up after the call ended, and she inquired if everything was okay.
