What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Steffy wanted Daphne to create a new scent for the Hope for the Future line, even with Thomas in Paris. However, Daphne responded that it wouldn't be an issue because she'd be in Paris as well. Steffy was surprised that Daphne planned an international move after getting close to Carter.
Daphne promised that her move wouldn’t impact her work. Steffy reminded Daphne that she was dating Carter, so this felt unexpected. Despite their growing connection, potential wasn’t enough to keep her in Los Angeles. She hoped Carter would have labeled the relationship over the holidays, but he never did. Daphne thought her future was in Paris,
Steffy thought Daphne had fallen in love with Carter, unaware of the lack of forward momentum. She asked Daphne if she was afraid of being hurt if she let herself go. Daphne knew Hope would inevitably leave Carter, but he refused to listen. Instead, he learned the hard way that her heart was left with Liam.

Sheila dropped by Taylor’s office unannounced, again, despite the good doctor previously placing hard boundary lines. She acknowledged how Taylor urged her not to stop by without warning, and Taylor was visibly upset. Taylor told Sheila that her impulsive nature bothered her, as she couldn’t predict her next move.
Sheila didn’t want Taylor to feel uncomfortable by her visit. However, she was offended by Taylor’s comments about her pattern of behavior. Sheila believed Taylor thought she would let Deacon down again. Sheila promised that she wouldn’t risk losing her husband, as she didn't know how she’d react if she ever lost him.

Carter and Ridge were pleased with the jewelry and fragrance lines, which brought Forrester to new levels of success. Ridge asked Carter if the next phase of his life would involve Daphne Rose. The closer Carter and Daphne got, the more distant he felt she became.
Carter told Ridge that Daphne had previously confessed her feelings for him when he was with Hope, but despite that engagement ending, nothing had progressed. The timing wasn’t right back then, even if Daphne had always been right.
Carter believed that his future was with Daphne. He admitted that he had thought that in the past with other women, but he truly meant it this time. Carter acknowledges how long he spent looking for “the one.” He thought Daphne fit the bill for everything he desperately wanted in a woman.
Ridge observed that Daphne was indeed the one for Carter. Ridge didn’t necessarily like Daphne, but he recognized the positive impact that she made on his best friend’s life. Carter shouldn’t waste any time making things official with her.
Steffy returned to the office, fresh off her conversation with Daphne, and she told Carter they needed to talk. She explained that Daphne had plans to leave for Paris, and that couldn’t happen. This was make or break for their relationship.

At Il Giardino, Deacon and Bill blasted Forrester’s penchant for nepotism, and Bill wished that Katie realized her worth sooner. He told Deacon that Katie might be able to help Deke advance his career. Deacon asked how that was possible, and Bill informed him of his wedding gift to Katie.
Deacon realized that Bill was secretly a hopeless romantic, even if Bill tried to pass it off as a good business investment. Deacon joked that Bill couldn’t get rid of him now, and Bill was fine with that, as long as Sheila remained far away from him.
Bill was impressed with the turnaround in Deacon's life. Despite Deacon’s string of good decisions, Bill couldn’t fathom why he’d give Sheila the time of day. He believed that marrying her was his worst decision.

Deke wondered how he could help Katie and her new company. He was eager to prove himself to her. However, Katie wasn’t surprised by his level of confidence, given that he was Deacon’s son. She was determined to prove Brooke and Ridge wrong and make Logan a resounding success.
Deke went through some of the ways that his work differed from the competition and how Forrester discounted him. Katie assured him that he’d be treated better at Logan. She called Forrester the “Brooke and Ridge show,” and she knew that her time was up.
Katie couldn’t guarantee Deke a position at her new fashion house, but she was willing to see what the upstart designer had to offer. Bill returned to their table and told Deke that his father had taken off somewhere in a hurry.
Bill saw the potential for their families to align in business, but he would only consider it if Sheila was out of the picture. Katie encouraged Deke to speak to her soon, so they could get the ball rolling. Suddenly, his future looked a lot less bleak.
After they left, Sheila returned to the restaurant and approached Deke, hoping to connect with her stepson.
Sheila wanted a chance to speak to Deke, but he didn’t think that was a good idea. She agreed that Deacon could do better than her, but that didn’t change the love she had for him. Sheila regretted keeping the truth about Luna from her husband, and she wanted Deke to see how much she loved Deacon. Sheila promised that she’d never let Deacon go.

Back at Taylor’s office, Deacon arrived for his session, and he immediately remarked that she had a beautiful smile. She appreciated the compliment but informed him that Sheila had made another unwanted visit.
Deacon asked Taylor right away if he should leave Sheila, but she couldn’t answer his questions. He revealed his expansion plans for Il Giardino, which thrilled Taylor. Taylor was proud of the man that Deacon had morphed into, no longer defined by his past.
Off the record, Deacon asked Taylor if she thought Sheila would embrace the dark side again. To his dismay, she did. Taylor worried that Sheila was a ticking time bomb, anxiously awaiting her emotional instability to rear its head again.
Taylor wanted the best for Deacon, and Sheila was not it. She referred to him as a “remarkable man,” which prompted Deacon to take her by the hand. Deacon looked into Taylor’s eyes and asked her, “What do you feel, Taylor? Tell me.”
