What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Ridge tried to assure Brooke that she was still important to the company, but he wasn't going to strip his daughter of her title. Brooke was offended that he wouldn't hurt Steffy's feelings, but it was more complicated than that. It just wasn't a necessary business decision.
Ridge got down on his knees and did his best to praise his wife. He believed she deserved a chance to run the companyby his side. However, Steffy was thriving in the role, so there was no sound reason to revoke her title. Putting Ridge in that position was unfair from the beginning, and Ridge hated letting Brooke down like that.
Brooke recognized that Ridge was in a terrible position, and she was fine with how things remained at the company. Despite her previous comments, she was ready to be honest with Ridge about her intentions. Brooke brought up Hope and her line, along with her desire to work alongside her daughter in the same way that he and Steffy do.
Brooke formally requested that Ridge reconsider the deactivation of Hope's line. All she wanted was for Ridge to have a conversation with Steffy, advocating for Hope. This was the most honest Brooke had been in quite some time, and she bared her soul to her husband, hoping to appeal to his feelings as a father and understanding where she was coming from. Ridge, unable to ever say no to Brooke, agreed to speak with Steffy.

Remy continued to spy on Dylan and Electra from outside the door as they repaired their friendship. Electra was finally willing to let her grudge against Dylan go and move on with her life. This was everything that Dylan wanted for so long, but as she looked Remy in the eyes, she pleaded with him to leave.
Electra was letting Dylan back in, but with this massive secret between them, it felt like a short-lived reunion at best. After Electra took off, Remy reemerged in the design office, but Dylan quickly made it clear that he wasn't welcome there. He was public enemy number one at Forrester, and she was terrified that their connection would ruin the forward progress she'd made.
Dylan couldn't risk Remy overstaying his welcome at Forrester, and she needed him to leave immediately. However, Remy was desperate to reclaim his own life. He already lost his best friend, Electra, and his boyfriend, Deke, and he wanted to break into the fashion industry.
Dylan quickly informed Remy that there was no chance of her helping him get a job at Forrester due to his twisted past with Electra. They would never even consider hiring him. It was an impossible request. He destroyed Electra's life by creating those fake nude photos, and she has been crystal clear that she had no intention of forgiving him.
Remy pleaded with Dylan to remind Deke about the person that he was, but she wasn't prepared to fight on his behalf. She wanted to save her relationship with Electra, and working to repair Remy's relationships would destroy the progressthey'd made. Dylan asked Remy to promise that he'd remain far away from Forrester, and despite him agreeing, it felt like foreshadowing.

Finn and Hayes surprised Steffy with a visit at Forrester, which couldn't have come at a better time. Electra soon joined them, but Charlie made a rare appearance at the office and joked around with Hayes about being a tiny intruder. Finn asked if Electra and Charlie could take Hayes to the security office so he could have a private conversation with Steffy.
Once everyone was gone, Finn wanted Steffy to fill him in on what had her on edge. He assumed that it was Sheila resurfacing for revenge because of Deacon and Taylor's affair, but it was somehow even more personal than that. Steffy's own father requested that she step down from her position as co-CEO.
Steffy felt betrayed by Ridge, despite him electing not to follow through with the demotion. He considered the idea of demoting her, and it was going to be difficult to get over that kind of hurt. Steffy was also positive that Hope's frustration with HFTF contributed to Brooke's sudden desire to ascend to the Forrester throne.
Before Steffy and Finn took off, she received a text from Brooke praising her ability as co-CEO. It was a simple but sweet gesture. It seemed like Brooke was genuine about wanting to keep the peace in the family.
