The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, May 25: Hope secures a new future while Brooke revives her old one

Liam pleaded with Hope to sign the contract and officially jump ship to Logan. However, Donna served as the devil in her ear, advocating for her to remain loyal to Brooke and Forrester. Hope understood that the family would fall to pieces if she defected to Logan. On the other hand, it was the chance of a lifetime.

Donna was serving as the lone voice for Forrester, but Hope wasn't convinced that her future there was bright. Her line was shelved, and it was possible that it would never see the light of day. Brooke would be crushed, but isn't it unfair to Hope to stall her own career for the sake of her mother's fragile feelings?

Hope was still devastated that her mother dared to be intimate with Ridge after getting the disappointing co-CEO news. It was time to take control of her future and choose herself for once, so she agreed to sign the contract and officially join Logan. This was the biggest moment of her career, and the amount of money they offered her was astounding.

Katie confirmed that Deke being hired was still part of the deal, and that was all it took for Hope's defection to be confirmed. Donna looked horrified, but what else was Hope supposed to do? Did they really expect Hope to sit around at Forrester and wait indefinitely for her line to be resurrected?

Everyone begged Donna to keep it a secret from Brooke and Eric. Donna reluctantly agreed, but she was still adamant that this defection would destroy the Logan family. There was no coming back from this, and they couldn't keep it hidden forever. Eventually Hope and Katie would have to face Brooke and deal with the familial consequences for their secret deal.

Hope was worried about how her mother would react to the news because it would undoubtedly be viewed as a full-fledged betrayal. The news would be kept under wraps for the time being, so Hope was likely going to find herself torn between her new future and her previous dream.

Brooke begged Ridge to ensure that Hope's line didn't stay a relic from the past forever. She wanted them to instill some of their confidence into Hope because, as of now, she didn't feel valued by her company. Steffy was more concerned, though, that not focusing on Eric's couture line would create more problems for the company.

Steffy and Ridge came to an understanding about bringing Hope's line back, but they had no idea how too little, too late that was. They waited until Hope was pushed so far to the edge that she jumped ship to the competition. This was only the beginning of an all-out family feud.

Third wheels and second chances

At the opening of Bikini, R.J. arrived and immediately started turning on the charm with all of the women in attendance. Will and Electra arrived soon after, and R.J. couldn't take his eyes off of her. The second Will got a call from work, R.J. pounced on her to question why she was there with her former flame.

Once Will returned back to Electra, he made sure to whisk Electra to the bar as quickly as possible. R.J. followed them, but they were all in for the shock of their lives when Dylan revealed herself as the bartender. She had a pipe dream about the four of them all becoming close friends, but with so much bad blood behind them, it felt unlikely.

Everyone was still a bit thrown that Remy was Dylan's cousin. Electra defended her friend for coming clean, so at least her claim to be on a better path in their friendship felt genuine. While sitting alone, Will put his heart on the line and showed Electra that he was willing to wear the necklace again. He was ready to make their relationship work after months of being estranged.

R.J. and Dylan looked on while they made their way back to each other, clearly uncomfortable that the object of their desire was slipping further out of reach.

This also served as Deacon and Taylor's first public outing as a couple, clearly no longer afraid of any potential retaliation from Sheila. Finn was serving as the third wheel, and he was a bit taken aback that they were being so open. Sheila remained a potential threat, but they couldn't spend the rest of their lives living in fear.

The more Deacon and Taylor tried to convince Finn that they weren't worried about Sheila, the more it felt like an indicator that she'd soon be a problem for them. Sheila showing up in some sort of disguise at Bikini felt like a completely plausible direction.

Sheila hadn't signed the divorce papers yet, so it was clear that she wasn't fully ready to let go. However, the biggest talking point from Deacon's speech was the revelation that Sheila had a roommate. Could it be Remy? Considering his connection to her deceased granddaughter, Sheila cozying up to Remy would make a lot of sense.
