The Bold and the Beautiful Rehash, May 6: Brooke and Steffy can't see the writing on the wall

The Bold and the Beautiful is teeming with clueless characters whose lack of self-awareness frequently blows our minds, but no two characters are as clueless and full of themselves as Brooke Logan and her on-again/off-again stepdaughter, Steffy. And, boy, did they ever prove that on the May 6, 2026 episode.

As if anyone would ever want to take on Hope For The Future! As if!!! That's basically what Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was saying as she scoffed at the idea of Hope (Annika Noelle) ever taking her line elsewhere. She even had the nerve to scoff and laugh in Hope's face, because being polite and not being a royal b**** are not Steffy Forrester Finnegan skills.

Even Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) needed his daughter to zip it and at least try to be decent to Hope, lest another big fashion line make headlines at the House of Logan. And what did Steffy do? Well, she scoffed some more since that seemed to be her activity for the day.

But then there was Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), who was even more clueless and self-absorbed than Steffy, even after the biggest hint dropped in her lap.

Brooke is slow on the uptake

We are not sure what Brooke was trying to accomplish when she visited Katie (Heather Tom) in her office. She tried to be nice, but she certainly didn't apologize for all the awful things she has said to her sister over the last few months. However, she was positive that Katie and Liam (Scott Clifton) had to be in a panic about the next Logan line now that they didn't have Eric's (John McCook) designs.

While Liam and Katie weren't quite panicked, that is what they were discussing. One would think that Liam telling Brooke that there was hope for Logan's future after all would have gotten the wheels turning in Brooke's head, but nope. It flew right over her head.

The next thing we knew, she was home talking to Hope, with things still flying right over her head. Like Steffy, Brooke doesn't think Hope would ever dare to leave Forrester Creations. The idea is just absurd. Well, the last laugh will be on them, won't it?
