On The Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge Forrester continues to overstep boundaries as he interrupts a passionate moment between Taylor and Deacon, proving he still wants control!
What Happened On The Bold and the Beautiful

Friday's episode brought us a moment that should have been purely about Taylor (Rebecca Budig) moving on, but instead, we got another dose of Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) acting as the self-appointed morality police. Walking into Deacon’s (Sean Kanan) place and seeing the doctor locked in a lip-lock with the man he despises, Ridge immediately went on the offensive. What the heck was he doing there, was he invited? I must have missed that part. But honestly, watching him bluster about Deacon’s past actions feels like a total snooze fest at this point. The "Waffle King" is back at it, trying to dictate exactly how Taylor should put him in her rearview mirror. It is exhausting to watch a man who has spent decades bouncing between two women suddenly find the audacity to tell one of them who she can and cannot kiss. Give it a rest Ridge and focus on 'Logan' and the threat to your precious Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) it poses.

If Ridge is so concerned about character and history, he should be much more worried about how he has treated Taylor over the years than about how Deacon once treated Brooke.
Everyone in L.A. seems to have an opinion on this potential pairing, but here is a hot take: Taylor and Deacon together actually make sense. I know, you’re probably wondering what the heck I’m thinking, but hear me out. For too long, these characters have been stuck in the same cycles. Taylor deserves to step outside the Forrester bubble, and Deacon has proven he is capable of a different kind of loyalty, even if it is messy.

More importantly, this pairing is exactly the defibrillator this soap needs to get its heart beating again. We all know Sheila Carter is a loose cannon and seeing Deacon, the man who supposedly "saved" her, fall for her rival would be the ultimate trigger. I really want to see Sheila go off the rails. It isn't because she deserves it; let’s be real, she doesn't. Sheila has had a hard life LOL, sure she's the architect of it as well but lets just focus on the present shall we?

But from a storytelling perspective, a jealous, unhinged Sheila is when this show is at its best. Ridge can yell about Brooke all he wants, but the reality is that Taylor is a grown woman who doesn't need his permission to move on. If a romance with Deacon is what it takes to finally break the "Bridge" and "Tridge" monotony and send Sheila into a tailspin, then I am all for it. Can you think of a more exciting storyline currently on the canvas? I'll wait.
