The Bold and the Beautiful: Three characters who need a good storyline

On The Bold and the Beautiful, we have several characters who have been underutilized for months, if not longer. They deserve to be front and center, with their own storyline. Here are characters on B&B who need a good storyline.

Even though Zende (Delon de Metz) designs for Hope For the Future at Forrester Creations, we rarely ever see him on screen. He hasn't been involved in a storyline since Luna (Lisa Yamada) slept with him after taking Poppy's (Romy Park) "magic mints" and claiming that she thought he was RJ.

This incident took place when Joshua Hoffman portrayed RJ, and he and Luna were a happy couple — or at least, he was happy. Later, we learned that she wasn't as sweet as she seemed, and she wasn't as crazy about RJ as we thought. She was just crazy. Then, she revealed that she had slept with Zende on purpose. Both Luna and Zende did wrong in that storyline, since Luna cheated on RJ and Zende betrayed his own cousin.

Before that storyline, Zende was romantically involved with Paris Buckingham (Diamond White). But the past year or so, it seems like Zende's only real connection to the B&B canvas is his design work for Hope For the Future. It would be great to see him on screen more often, involved in a real storyline again. Are there any women at FC he could be paired up with? Most of the women in his age group are married, but perhaps Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) has a sister or friend who could visit Los Angeles. Sparks could fly between her and Zende!

It seems as though Li's (Naomi Matsuda) only role lately is to be Sheila's (Kimberlin Brown) only friend. Every once in a while, we might see Li in scenes with her son, Finn (Tanner Novlan), at the hospital where they work. But she hasn't been involved in an important storyline ever since she was secretly nursing Luna back to health while telling everyone else that Luna had died.

Li needs a good, new storyline. Perhaps she can become romantically involved with a handsome and brilliant doctor at the hospital? Many B&B fans thought she would be a good match for Bill (Don Diamont), but now, he's remarried to Katie (Heather Tom). We didn't even get to see Li and Bill go on a date together, which is a shame, because it would have been fun to see whether they had any chemistry. We could have even had a triangle between Bill, Katie, and Li. Unfortunately, we didn't even get that.

So, sadly, Li has been left out in the cold, with only her medical career and her friendship with Sheila and no storyline to speak of. Heck, if Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) finally managed to get himself a wife, then there has to be someone out there for Li as well. Any chance we could get a reconcilation between her and her ex-husband, Jack (Ted King)?

John "Finn" Finnegan

The only time we really see Finn is when he's being a devoted husband to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and an all-around family man. The last time he was involved in an actual storyline was when he treated Liam (Scott Clifton) when we thought Liam had a brain tumor. He respected Liam's wish to keep his medical condition a secret. Before that storyline, he was shocked to learn that he was Luna's father.

But now that Luna is dead (supposedly), what's next for Finn? He doesn't work at FC, so he isn't directly impacted by all the drama surrounding Eric (John McCook) and Hope For the Future. So, maybe he needs a storyline of his own, something of a medical nature again. But what?

Whatever it is, let's hope it doesn't have anything to do with Sheila or Luna. The B&B writers have been there and done that. Let's see Finn involved in a completely different kind of storyline, perhaps something that would surprise us!
