The Bold and the Beautiful has tried its hardest to recover from the cartoonish antics that plagued it because of Luna. However, despite its best efforts, the soap has still come up short in many ways. Storylines have either played out too fast or simply don't make sense. This week was no different as the highly anticipated launch of Logan was plagued from the start. Beyond that, Electra's insecurity regarding Dylan reached new heights, which left even Steffy telling her to pump the brakes. If Steffy is telling you that you can't dictate someone else's life, you know you're cooked. After a week of Forrester ridiculousness, it's time to break it all down, two scoops style.
Logan launches with a whimper on The Bold and the Beautiful

When Katie (Heather Tom) first defected from Forrester, this storyline had all the potential in the world. Once Eric (John McCook) signed on as her lead designer, it felt destined for greatness. However, the moment the truth came out and Eric backed out of the agreement, everything turned into a total and utter flop. Bill (Don Diamont) was adamant that he and Katie continue to use Eric's designs, and while it makes sense that they believed they had the right to them, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and Eric showing up to the launch was utterly embarrassing for Katie.
First of all, nobody in the room even believed Katie at first when she claimed that Eric designed her collection. In an instant, Katie was on the verge of becoming a laughingstock of the entire fashion industry. If Bill hadn't stepped in to confirm the news himself, it's highly plausible that nobody would've believed her. Still, Katie had one shot to prove that she could step out of her sister's shadow, and this really wasn't it. While Katie was arguably the most sympathetic character in the storyline, having a carbon copy of Forrester's showroom and a lead designer who wanted nothing to do with her felt like a sign that Logan was dead on arrival.
Electra's great meltdown

There's nobody on The Bold and the Beautiful who spends more time telling others how to live their lives than Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Keeping that in mind, if Steffy is the one telling Electra to calm down and figure out a way to coexist with Dylan (Sydney Bullock), clearly, the situation was completely out of control. Steffy hiring Dylan shouldn't have come as too much of a shock since Electra was one of the people championing her employment in the first place. Steffy had a previous connection to the former art teacher, so following through with the job made sense. Steffy does not share the same issues with Dylan that Electra does.
Steffy is the co-CEO of one of the largest fashion brands in the world. Although she is not immune to letting her personal drama seep into the workplace, she has a much higher standing at Forrester than Electra. Yes, Electra is a Forrester. However, she is the assistant to the jewelry line. Electra has absolutely no input on who gets hired or fired, and her insecurities involving Will (Crew Morrow) and Dylan have nothing to do with Steffy. She did what she believed was best for the business, and Electra's going to have to live with that. Although it can be difficult to agree with Steffy most of the time, this is a shocking example of her being right on the nose.
