The Bold and the Beautiful 'What If' Week of Feb. 16, 2026: Bill forces Eric to keep designing for 'Logan'

Katie will likely have a crisis of conscience and feel as if the best thing for Eric is to bow out, but it's difficult not to imagine what could happen to Eric. Eric's health is at risk on The Bold and the Beautiful

On Tuesday's new episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Eric (John McCook) had a breathing episode that left Donna (Jennifer Gareis) begging her husband to visit a doctor. She was also moments away from convincing him to call it quits at Logan and return to Forrester alongside his son, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). However, everything became far more complicated when Ridge and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) showed up and spotted Eric's latest designs scattered across the living room.

Eric attempted to evade the reality of his secret position, but ultimately admitted he needed to confess something to Ridge. Before Eric could come clean, Bill (Don Diamont) and Katie (Heather Tom) arrived to check on him. Things took a different turn when Bill and Ridge got into it. Katie was forced to come clean and admit the truth, that Eric was her secret designer. Unknown to Katie and Bill, Eric was moments away from accepting Ridge's invitation to return to Forrester.

Live by the sword

Wednesday's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful featured Ridge making a final plea to bring Eric back to Forrester. He felt like Eric's latest designs would be perfect for the couture line. Bill has become a more patient man in recent months, but what if he reverted to his ruthless side? What if Bill embraced the sword mentality, and he forced Eric to fulfill his contract and toil away at Logan? Bill is about the bottom line. It's entirely plausible that he'd want to keep Eric to his word and force him to follow through with Logan's debut collection.

If Bill opts to go in this direction, imagine the ramifications across the entire canvas. This would most certainly widen the rift between the Logan sisters. Brooke and Katie have tried to mend things on a few occasions, but this could be the final straw. Ridge is desperate to get back in Eric's good graces, so Bill keeping Eric under his umbrella against his will would escalate the ongoing feud to new heights. Even worse, viewers have seen the physical toll the role has taken on Eric, so what if the unimaginable happens?

Eric could drive himself directly into the grave if he keeps working for Bill and Katie at Logan. Would Bill actually care? He's already shown signs that he is willing to apply extra pressure on Eric to keep him in line and on a tight schedule. Now that Ridge and Brooke are aware of Eric's design role, the timeline is likely to speed up as well. Bill would need Eric to put in more hours and effort to bring the line to fruition. Eric openly admitted that he's 80 years old, and this could kill him. If that happens, it will become the biggest battleground The Bold and the Beautiful has ever seen.
