As viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful, it's easy to become invested in the characters' lives and the directions their actions and choices take them. Ivy believed that she banished Dylan from Los Angeles, but a chance encounter between Dylan and Deke changed everything. Dylan being rescued from dumpster diving by Deke was the best possible outcome for the homeless art teacher, but it's difficult not to imagine what might be in store for her. We ask ourselves, "What if" the storyline heads in a vastly different direction.

Soap Central embraces the fantasy fun of "What if" and flips the script on Dylan, invoking the spirit of Luna and a grandmother thirsty for revenge.

Deke (Harrison Cone), being the first person to find Dylan (Sydney Bullock), was a stroke of luck for the homeless art teacher. Ivy's (Ashleigh Brewer) blackmail could've taken her far away from Los Angeles, but luckily for her, she remained close by. Dylan was spotted by someone with close ties to the people she cares about, and Deke seems to be a man of integrity, so she's in safe hands. Deke went out of his way to create a safe environment for Dylan, noticing the frantic state she was in.

After securing Dylan a freshly cooked meal, much better than the dumpster pizza, Deke took things a step further. Much to Dylan's surprise, Deke wasted no time and offered her a job at Il Giardino, hoping that it would be the first step in getting her back on her feet. However, Dylan requested that she remain away from the general public and begged for a position that kept her hidden in the back. Deke was confused at first, but knowing there was likely trauma behind her response, he happily obliged.

Dylan's plan to hide away from the rest of the world didn't last long because her cover was blown by the end of Wednesday's all-new episode. Will (Crew Morrow) dropped by the restaurant to pick up an order, and he immediately spotted Dylan behind the bar. Eventually, Will coaxed a confession out of Dylan, and he was stunned by what he heard.

After worrying about Dylan's safety and well-being, he finally learned the truth. Dylan blurted out that Ivy was the one who forced her out of town and out of Will and Electra's (Laneya Grace) lives. Unfortunately for Dylan, could accepting this job actually be the worst thing to ever happen to her?

The Bold and the Beautiful's ticking time bomb

Luna's (Lisa Yamada) death rocked many people in Los Angeles. Some of them were relieved to see the killer eradicated, but others, like Sheila (Kimberlin Brown), were overcome with grief. Viewers know that the person responsible for running Luna down was Dylan, but it's highly unlikely that that information is widespread. Although people like Will and Electra know the truth about what happened that night, that information in the wrong hands could have seriously grave consequences.

Sheila had been preoccupied with saving her marriage to Deacon (Sean Kanan), but with her husband spending so many late nights with Taylor, she has some time on her hands. She shoves herself down the throats of everyone she comes into contact with, so interacting with Dylan is inevitable. What if Sheila finds out that Dylan was driving the car that ended Luna's life? What would that mean for Dylan's future on the show? There's been a lot of chatter about how Sheila might lash out against Deacon, Taylor (Rebecca Budig), or even Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), but Dylan could easily end up becoming collateral damage.

Unless a drastic casting change is in order and a core character is going to be killed off, the only person who makes sense for Sheila to bring harm to is Dylan. All it takes is one off day for Sheila to revert to her worst self. Dylan is the perfect victim for Sheila to take out all of her aggressions on. How easy would it be for Sheila to justify hurting Dylan by claiming that she did it for Luna? That is the type of rationalization that Sheila would absolutely use. Hopefully for Dylan, this doesn't happen, but what if it did? What if Sheila Carter takes out her frustrations on sweet Ms. Dylan?
