It's only a matter of time before every character on The Bold and the Beautiful finds out about Deacon and Taylor's affair. Since Steffy shared the news with Ridge several weeks ago, we've noticed that he hasn't said a word about it to Brooke. Steffy told him not to tell anyone, but once Brooke hears about the affair, will she feel offended that her husband kept it a secret from her?
Father/daughter secret on The Bold and the Beautiful

When Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) confided in Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) about Taylor's (Rebecca Budig) feelings for Deacon (Sean Kanan), we wondered whether he would tell Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). After all, Deacon is her ex and Taylor is Ridge's ex. Even though Deacon's involvement with Taylor technically has nothing to do with Brooke, maybe she would want Ridge to confide in her about it, since she's his wife.
But we guess that Ridge hasn't told Brooke about it, because he's respecting his daughter's wishes. Steffy came to him out of desperation because he knows Taylor better than anyone else. She thought he could help Taylor come to her senses. But this affair is like a ticking time bomb. The secret is inevitably going to come out at some point. Just think of all the people who already know about it -- Hope (Annika Noelle), Deke (Harrison Cone), Ridge, Steffy, and Finn (Tanner Novlan). Once Brooke finds out, how will she feel if she learns that Ridge has known for weeks but didn't tell her?
It's a wonder that Ridge didn't punch Deacon!

As soon as Steffy told Ridge, he got all fired up and headed straight to Taylor's office -- and caught Taylor and Deacon kissing. He ordered them to put an end to their affair, but it was a little surprising that he didn't punch Deacon. He's done it before, to other men who were after Taylor.
Remember when Ronn Moss' Ridge punched James Warwick (Ian Buchanan) when James was interested in Taylor (played by Hunter Tylo at the time)? Ridge is similar to The Young and the Restless' Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), as they both have a habit of acting like cavemen when they are furious. Heck, if we had a dollar for every time Ridge got into a brawl with Bill (Don Diamont), we would be rich!
But in this particular case, maybe Ridge didn't punch Deacon for fear that Deacon might retaliate with one of his famous karate chops! Deacon sure looked like he was thinking about it.
Ridge has been uncharacteristically quiet about the affair

When Ridge is angry about something, he usually can't keep his mouth shut. He barks endlessly to anyone who will listen. He does it whenever he complains about Bill and the conflict that revolved around Katie naming her fashion house Logan. And that's just scratching the surface of Ridge's rants on The Bold and the Beautiful.
So, it's odd that he's been able to keep the Taylor/Deacon news to himself. He knows there's a chance that his family may become targets if Sheila finds out what's going on. He's married to Brooke and they work together. Doesn't he ever feel tempted to share his concerns with her, especially considering that she was one of Sheila's victims years ago?
This is why Brooke may be upset when she eventually finds out about the affair -- and the fact that Ridge knew about it but stayed silent. She may view his silence as a betrayal. She may say, "I'm your wife. Why didn't you at least tell me?" They just remarried several months ago, and we've observed Brooke and Ridge's pattern throughout the years. Something always happens that throws a monkey wrench into their wedded bliss. Will she ask him, "Why didn't you trust me to keep the secret?" That remains to be seen, and it will be interesting to see how Ridge answers her.
