On The Bold and the Beautiful, Eric Forrester’s sudden departure from the family firm has left many wondering if he will regret leaving his legacy to be with Katie.
What Happened On The Bold and the Beautiful

What an episode, it basically confirmed what we all feared: the patriarch is already harboring some pretty deep second thoughts.
Eric (John McCook) finally said it. He told Donna (Jennifer Gareis) that this whole venture with "the Logans" was a huge mistake and even though he only did it because he wanted to prove he was still relevant after Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) tried to push him out, the reality of working for Bill (Don Diamont) is a total nightmare. I can't fault him there, none of us would want to either. Bill is so damn obsessed with the bottom line that he’s refusing to pay for the high-end silk Eric needs for his designs.

This has turned the whole office into a mess that completely lacks the artistry Eric had at Forrester Creations. It’s hard to watch the legend get treated like a budget line item. And that should have been enough without any health concerns, to be looking for a parachute.
The physical toll is getting scary

Eric had a frightening breathing episode, and it left Donna distraught as she begged him to just put his health over his ego before it's too late. If he walks away now, Katie’s (Heather Tom) company is basically floundering if not sunk. Without the Forrester name or Eric's genius, Bill’s cheap cost-cutting is going to sink the brand before they even hit a runway. What Katie needs to do is get Bill inline and onboard, it's not like he's short of a dollar or three after all, let the man do what he needs to do.
Fans are losing it on social media. Over on Facebook, everyone is calling Bill a "villain" for taking advantage of Eric’s insecurity, while on X (formerly Twitter), people are actually starting to admit that maybe Ridge was right all along about Eric’s stress levels. The vibe is pretty unanimous: Eric belongs at the company he built, not in some high-stress startup fueled by Bill’s greed. But how does he return to the company he was basically told to go kick rocks, and find a sunset? Stress levels or not did Ridge drive Eric to the other side, yes.

The 'brown stuff' hit the fan when Ridge and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) swung by Eric’s place for a surprise visit (in the land of the lurker, is there any other kind of visit?) and Ridge saw the sketches and the tools spread out everywhere, and you could just see the moment he realized his father had betrayed him.
This fallout is going to change everything. And to be honest after the way Ridge has acted, that Marone is a moron, and he got what he deserved. Will Ridge make it right with Eric? Before it's too late? And now we get to see Ridge full of mortal outrage? Of course, I'll get the popcorn ready!
