The Bold and the Beautiful has brought back the original face of fear: Sheila Carter. While technically, Sheila has been a mainstay on the show for years, this was a return to form, showcasing how haunting the character can be when she's written as the terrifying force she is. However, although it's great to see Sheila back in her element, the execution left a lot to be desired. With that said, it's time to break it all down, two scoops style.
The Bold and the Beautiful's scream queen

Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) is a force of nature that should strike fear in the hearts of everyone that she encounters. The version of Sheila that The Bold and the Beautiful has portrayed most recently, as a server at Il Giardino, is a complete misfire for the character. Viewers finally got to see the first flash of the old Sheila when she grabbed the knife and headed to Taylor's (Rebecca Budig) bedroom. For the first time in a long time, Sheila felt like herself again, much to the potential detriment of Taylor and Deacon's (Sean Kanan) well-being. However, the issue lies in the execution of the big moment. It didn't fully click the way it was likely intended.
Sheila has been written to be completely delusional and oblivious to everything happening around her. This is supposed to be a cunning, career criminal, and she has been made to look foolish for months. Sheila should be smart enough to know that things between her husband and his therapist aren't adding up, but instead, she brought flowers to Taylor's house. Why? Not only does that not make sense in general, but Taylor lives with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who strictly forbids Sheila from making any contact with her family. While it's true that Steffy and Finn (Tanner Novlan) were out of town with the kids, Sheila shouldn't have taken the risk, since in theory, they could've come home for any reason.
Ivy has become Captain Creepy

The Bold and the Beautiful's Ivy's (Ashleigh Brewer) obsession with her niece Electra's (Laneya Grace) personal life has become baffling. She is far too invested in Electra's romantic life and is going out of her way to act like the puppet master pulling all of the strings. Every aspect of Electra's life is being controlled and manipulated by her aunt, and it's officially reached a creepy level. Nobody should be this invested in who their niece chooses as a romantic partner. Ivy could've stopped at breaking Electra and Will (Crew Morrow) apart, but instead, she is on a crusade to push her and RJ (Brayan Nicoletti) together.
It was already puzzling that someone as obsessed with "proper behavior" as Ivy would be fine with cousins getting romantically involved. However, the way she's gone about it has somehow been more surprising and jarring. Ivy orchestrated a dinner for two between Electra and RJ, then found a way to access Electra's phone to upload a photo of the kissing cousins to social media. Everything Ivy has done has been behind Electra's back, and now with Dylan (Sydney Bullock) seemingly keeping her secret for her own personal gain, there's no telling just how far Ivy is willing to go.
