Fashion is finally back at the center of The Bold and the Beautiful, and it’s bringing old resentments roaring back with it. Katie’s decision to launch her own fashion house ignited immediate resistance from her sister, Brooke. In the span of a week, sisterly tension has escalated to a point of no return. The bond is fractured, and the struggle for control is just beginning.

The Luna era is officially behind us, but this week proved that moving forward doesn’t mean moving on. It was a week filled with long-overdue confrontations and a growing concern over Dylan's increasingly concerning behavior, and the fallout from Luna’s exit offered only a brief pause. It's now back to business as usual. Power, greed, and survival are the unavoidable realities in the lives of the rich and powerful Forrester and Spencer families.

Brooke's support comes with conditions

Brooke was at her very worst this week. The way she bluntly spoke to Katie and dismissed her confidence, with little to no regard for how her words affected her sister, was almost uncomfortable to watch. Brooke has become the gatekeeper of her own family name. She has placed herself at the top of the Logan family hierarchy, and the best place for Katie, in her eyes, is somewhere floundering at the bottom. Brooke only wants to root for Katie’s success if it doesn't interfere with her own aspirations. Katie’s defection from Forrester has made her nothing more than a challenge that Brooke needs to overcome.

Even when confronted with the harshest truths about her own past with Katie’s husband, Bill, Brooke maneuvered the conversation to ensure she remained the victim. Katie desperately wanted her sister to support her and usher her into this next phase of her life with nothing but positive vibes, but Brooke wasn’t having it. Despite Katie’s points about past betrayal landing much harder, Brooke somehow believed that Katie's use of their shared last name for her company was the bigger blunder. It was difficult not to yell at the television as Brooke disregarded everything that Katie threw her way.

Once Brooke got to Forrester, her belittlement continued. Although Katie wasn’t there, Brooke’s comments to Ridge and his remarks in response were downright deplorable. They both seem to believe that Katie is destined to fail, and it’s as if they are (not so) secretly hoping that it happens. It’s highly plausible that even if Katie decided to change her fashion house’s name to something more acceptable to Brooke and Ridge, they’d still find a way to rain on any excitement she exhibited.

Dylan no longer blends into the background

Dylan’s time as a background player on the show is a thing of the past. This week, she was at the forefront of every episode, and her storyline took quite the unusual turn. Will uncovering that Dylan was homeless and sleeping in her car took an awkward PSA-style detour, but now all signs point to a love triangle or fixation plot involving her, Will, and Electra. The red flags were flying higher than ever this week, and besides the viewers who clocked this the moment she arrived, Electra was the first to notice that the former preschool art teacher might have unhealthy intentions toward Will.

The moment that Dylan thanked Will for his generosity with a hug, Electra’s Spider-senses started tingling. She went from supportive friend to standoffish girlfriend in an instant. Electra had no qualms about putting Dylan on notice about her interactions with Will, and crossing any lines would not be tolerated. Electra also made it crystal clear that Dylan’s time at Will’s guest house needed to be a very temporary one. She encouraged her to find a place in a matter of days before things reached an uncomfortable level. It was surprising to see Electra take such a stand, but if there’s anything that hasn’t changed, it’s that Electra is going to make everything about herself.
