Days of our Lives Daily YAPP Recap, December 4: How many stalkers does Stephanie have?

Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

Has there ever been a soap heroine with more mysterious lurking stalkers following her than Days of our Lives' Stephanie Johnson? In the last two years, she has had three creepy dark figures following her around, apparently to bring intrigue to Salem and Stephanie's life. First we had Everett, who turned out to be Bobby, who turned out to be both Everett and Bobby. He wasn't exactly dangerous, but he sure was creepy — BOTH versions of him. Just this fall, we saw another lurking stalker who turned out to be Jeremy Horton, but the jury is still out on him and whether he is dangerous or not. He did angrily smash that pumpkin, so he might not be as mild-mannered as he wants everyone to be. And now Stephanie has a crazed fan sending her snail mail and lurking behind her in her Chicago hotel room. We'll assume this is Stephanie's former stalker, Owen, played by Wes Ramsey, but it still doesn't make the story more original. It just feels like DAYS can't find anything to do with Stephanie that adds excitement, so the show keeps giving her stalkers. Since that hasn't worked before, we are not quite sure why this soap is trying it again. Maybe this time, the story will be exciting and Stephanie really will be in serious danger. Here's hoping this turns into some good, soapy fun.
