Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

Jennifer has been so adamant that Chad is now the worst father known to soap opera man that we were sure she was going to take complete advantage of him not showing up for the custody hearing. When she ran into Cat in Horton Town Square before the hearing, Jennifer was in warrior mode, calling Cat vile for impersonating Abigail. We get why Jennifer can't forgive Cat, as the rest of the town has. After all, Abigail was Jennifer's daughter. But her treatment of Chad has been absolutely atrocious. At least when she got to the hearing, she saw how concerned Thomas was about his MIA dad, so she didn't lose her mind when he never showed. Instead, she allowed for a one-week continuance so Chad could be located. Maybe her encounter with Cat made her realize she was wrong about Chad and he wasn't with Cat after all, which then brings us to Chad. In Salem time, he was unconscious for maybe a day. In real-time, he was unconscious for a full week, but even during that soap opera day, what did Kristen and Tony do with him all that time? Surely, they didn't spend a full 24 hours trying to rouse their brother. We also have to ask who schedules a custody hearing for Black Friday, which it technically was in Salem. (Shouldn't we have seen lines outside Saxton's?)
