Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

While we understand that February 17th marked Billy Flynn's final Days of our Lives episode as Chad DiMera after a dozen years in the role, the premise for his exit didn't deserve the dramatic send-off the character got. Chad made it clear that he was only taking his kids on vacation to visit Sonny and Will in Arizona. Jeremy even handed Thomas a few weeks' worth of assignments. Why is Chad making such a big deal about leaving Salem if this is only a vacation that is supposed to last only a few weeks? Chad has taken longer business trips than that. Heck, he was out of town longer when he was trying to help Cat find her mother than he plans to be now. Maybe if DAYS had chosen for Chad to move to Arizona, only for it not to work out a few months down the road, this dramatic and elongated farewell would have made more sense. Watching Chad embark on a farewell tour with such sadness and angst had us scratching our heads. We've never seen anything like this when a character is just going on vacation. A new Chad with older kids is set to appear in Salem in just a few months, which we assume will be a few weeks in Salem time, so why the tears? Yes, we will miss Billy Flynn, but his exit did not make sense at all.
