Days of our Lives Daily YAPP Recap, February 20: Ivan without Madame is such a tease

Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

As longtime Days of our Lives fans know, Vivian Alamain and her trusty manservant, Ivan Marais, are a team and have been a team since the 1990s. Ivan's devotion to Vivian is absolutely legendary, as he has been at her beck and call for decades, and even managed to eventually become her lover. We are not sure of their exact relationship status now, but Ivan is still in Alamnia doing Vivian's bidding, but we didn't get to see them together. Instead, we got some Vivian scenes last week that were all too brief, along with some Ivan scenes on Friday that were also way too brief. We know that Ivan and Madame's life is filled with "love, joy, and laughter," but we want to see it. While always manipulative and cunning, Ivan and Vivian were always a delight. It just feels like a cheap trick to have both Louise Sorel and Ivan G'Vera back and not put them in scenes together. Surely, a taping schedule could have been worked out to accomplish that. The last time we saw Ivan, the magnificent Linda Dano was filling in for Sorel, so it's been ages since the OG team has been on screen at the same time. While it was wonderful to see them both separately, together would have been the ultimate treat. Let it happen soon...
