Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on Days of our Lives

Salemites have been dealing with Stefano's death(s) since 1983, when he first had a prison stroke while his daughter, Renee, was visiting. Since that day 33 years ago, the Phoenix has died and risen so many times, we've lost count. When he died back in 2016, we thought that was the end. Heck, we haven't even seen him since then because the late, great Joseph Mascolo passed soon after and Days of our Lives was wise enough not to replace him. However, we have heard about him here and there, with his family (and not friends, since he didn't actually have any) mentioning him in passing, not 100% sure whether he was actually dead or alive. In fact, the rest of the DiMeras didn't even seem to care if he was dead or alive. Yet, they are all of a sudden mourning this latest death, which clearly happened years ago. Well, except Kristen, that is. She's thrilled. But why are Johnny and Kate so broken up over this? When Johnny first told Roman, Marlena, and Kayla that he had news for them, we thought he would give them the good news about the baby. But nope, he needed to blast the news that Stefano was dead as if this wasn't a "been there, done that" sort of thing. Kate and Johnny had to process their feelings about this 'day that ends in y' news, and all we could do was shrug and say, "Yeah, we just don't get it."
