Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

Who can ever forget the years that Marlena truly believed that she was with her beloved Roman, but was really with the man who would become known as John Black for the next four decades? When the real Roman returned to town, Marlena was torn, but she returned to the authentic version of her original husband, leaving John to fall for Isabella Toscano, which resulted in Brady Black. After Isabella died, Marlena couldn't resist John any longer, so one illicit night resulted in Belle Black, and the rest is history. Hearing Marlena give that history lesson to Leo as something he could relate to brought back loads of memories for her and us, while also acting as a cautionary tale. Just because something is unresolved with someone from your past doesn't mean that you can just go back to the way things were, especially when you are in love with someone else. Marlena even admitted that she hurt a lot of people when she tried to make things work with Roman, something Leo truly doesn't want to do. She advised Leo to listen to his heart and see in which direction it guides him. We are sure it will lead him right back to Javi, who has spent his wedding night crying on a park bench before getting drunk. It's a sad, sad situation, but we think Marlena helped.
