Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

Watching Rafe and Jada try to solve a crime never ceases to amuse us because they can never seem to do it. It took Cat figuring out where the DiMeras were being held, and even then, they screwed up the rescue operation by just standing around the DiMera living room and not actually doing anything. On the January 7, 2026, episode of Days of our Lives, they sat around Jada's office kibbitzing about the case but not actually arriving at any conclusions. Why didn't they look at surveillance cameras by the crypt when the DiMeras first went missing? Why are they not questioning Vivian Alamain harder about what really happened to Stefan and how Peter Blake somehow knew that Stefan was dead? They are not asking the right questions, but what else is new? Instead, Rafe and Jada just look at one another, perplexed, while making small talk about it all. In fact, Rafe has been doing everything to find evidence that EJ is the biggest DiMera criminal mastermind there is for nearly a year, but has accomplished nothing. And Jada, well, she is the cop who gives her dating app match her home address, so we are not expecting much. Perhaps, Rafe would have more success with his quest if h leaves Jada out of it and just relies on Cat, who is infinitely more resourceful than the addled police commissioner.
