Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on Days of our Lives
It's quite rare to match with someone on a dating app who you actually already know, and that's the whole point. Dating apps offer a way to get to know new people you might not meet out there in the so-called "real world," but in Salem, there doesn't seem to be a very large dating app dating pool. Jada matched with Theo, someone she already knew or at least knew of. And now, Belle and Chad matched with one another, which is just all sorts of weird. Why would they "slide up" on each other when they already knew one another and could have asked one another out without the help of an app. Would it have been too awkward since Belle's last lover was Chad's brother? Why should it when EJ seems to be rebounding with Chad's last lover, Cat? See how Salem has such a small dating pool that nobody can meet anyone new and people have to swap significant others. If Days of our Lives wanted to introduce a dating app storyline, why not have our favorite Salemites meet new people as a way to bring on new characters? As it stands now, the Salem Singles algorithm is matching some pretty odd pairs. Belle isn't even impressed with Chad's boring first date suggestions. Maybe that means he is not the match for her.
