Days of our Lives Daily YAPP Recap, March 31: When did Chanel and Stephanie become BFFs?

Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

While Stephanie's scenes confiding in Chanel today were compelling and pulled at our heartstrings, they made very little sense, considering that Chanel and Stephanie have never been that close. Sure, they became friendly when they worked together on Body and Soul, but it has been quite a while since they shared any scenes, much less ones where they seemed like besties. But that is exactly what they seemed like on the March 30th episode of Day of our Lives when Chanel visited Stephanie in the hospital and even told her that she was pregnant. In fact, their Body and Soul experience should have caused tension between the two women, with Chanel's husband convinced that Stephanie's now-husband was having an affair with his wife. To add insult to injury, Alex did once sleep with Chanel and her girlfriend, Allie, in the threesome that Owen had alluded to during the same episode. And that is just another reason why the scenes between Stephanie and Chanel seemed so very odd and out of place. Stephanie's best friend since childhood is Jada, a relationship that has been well-established over the last few years. It would have made more sense if Stephanie had broken down with her and not Chanel. At least Jada was there for her throughout the whole stalking ordeal when Stephanie had barely said a word to Chanel.
