Days of our Lives concluded its "who kidnapped the DiMeras" by revealing that the long-absent Peter (Dan Gauthier) was the mastermind. Who better to take him down than his sister, Kristen, played by Stacy Haiduk? For her performance as the most deceitful DiMera (and that's saying a lot!), Soap Central is bestowing Performer of the Week honors on Haiduk.
Days of our Lives, Performer of the Week, Stacy Haiduk

Once Peter confirmed to his siblings, Tony (Thaao Penghlis), Chad (Billy Flynn), EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), and Kristen, and his nephew, Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews), that he was responsible for their captivity -- and impending death -- all eyes fixated on him. He should have paid particular attention to the steely glaze that his sister was providing, however. Kristen turned out to be the downfall of her brother's scheme to wipe out Stefano's children and grandson.
Haiduk had Kristen drop the intense glare she was giving Peter, and instead, she tried to reach her brother by recalling their childhood together. "I've known Theo since he was a little boy, and he reminded me of you, the way you used to be when you were a boy -- sweet and kind, trusting," Kristen said, hoping to appeal to Peter's humanity.
"Peter, what happened to you?" Kristen asked when Peter listed Stefano's crimes against their parents. Chad told Peter that he had failed to turn EJ's siblings against him, and, in fact, they were all united against him.
"Not me. I'll never turn against you, Peter. You are my one, true brother," Kristen stated. Putting her hands up in surrender, Kristen gently approached Peter, reassuring him that she'd never turn on him.
It's noteworthy that neither Haiduk nor Gauthier played their roles of Kristen and Peter when their characters were introduced over 30 years ago. (Eileen Davidson and Jason Brooks originated the parts.) But you'd never know that Haiduk didn't share a long history with Gauthier based on the heartfelt way in which the actress reached out to her newest co-star.
He Aint' Heavy, They're My Days of our Lives Brothers

"It's been you and me against the world, remember?" Kristen said. Then, Haiduk had Kristen shoot to anger, turning on her non-Peter relatives. When EJ tried to interject, Kristen blasted, "ENOUGH! You are not my brother! None of you are!"
Her performance, and that's what it turned out to be, convinced Peter to physically put his sister behind him, saying that he would save her, and only her. Peter made the mistake of turning his attention away from his diabolical sister.
Just as Peter started to unleash the deadly vial he was going to use to kill his family members, Kristen whacked him over the head with a femur bone. Peter fell to the floor, and the vial was taken away from him.
Kristen collapsed in exhaustion, physically and emotionally. Peter may not have had any qualms about betraying his family, but Kristen didn't do what she did easily. "Peter, I'm so sorry," a crying Kristen said as she put her head on her brother's shoulder.
Brava to Stacy Haiduk for delivering a tour de force as Kristen freed her family from the man she's called family the longest.
