Here is what happened on Days of our Lives the week of April 6-10, 2026, when Kristen teamed up with Sophia and Rafe to take down EJ, Theo stepped down, Johnny took the CEO job, Holly made up with Ari, Tate secured Sophia’s fingerprints, Steve offered Brady a job at Black Patch, Brady and Sarah made love, and Leo broke up with Dimitri.
What happened on Days of our Lives
Kristen ordered Sophia to help her destroy EJ as payback for what Sophia had done to Rachel. Kristen suggested that Sophia use her hatred of Johnny to help her hurt EJ. After Kristen told Brady that he had betrayed their daughter and she never wanted to see him again, she moved out.
Johnny asked Theo if he could stay on at DiMera, and Theo offered him the CEO position. Theo refused to say why. When Theo returned home, he sat with Lexie and talked to her. Johnny ran into Holly, and she told him about Sophia and the pills. Holly made up with Ari after she apologized and told Ari about the tainted vitamins. Ari texted Liam, and he sent a cold response.
At the pub, Marlena asked Kate to run Basic Black with her. Kate accepted. Johnny interrupted their celebration, and he told Marlena about the lawsuit. Johnny accused Kate of having set him up.
Maggie accused Xander of using Johnny’s inexperience to set him up. Xander warned Maggie that she was too ethical to save the company. Furious, Maggie accused Xander of dropping his civil facade now that he had secured visitation rights to Victoria.
Philip moved into the Kiriakis mansion with Gabi. Sarah was worried that Xander would explode when he heard the news, but Xander shrugged it off. Sarah admitted she was impressed by Xander’s attitude.
While at the hospital, Dimitri recognized Cat’s voice, but he could not place her. Leo talked to Dimitri about his feelings for him. Dimitri confessed that Leo had helped him understand that he wanted a loving relationship. They kissed, and Leo was discharged from the hospital.
Gwen was horrified when Dimitri answered Leo’s phone and confirmed that he was back together with Leo. Gwen marched over to the Salem Inn to yell at the two men. Leo cautioned Dimitri not to accuse Gwen of kidnapping without proof. Leo apologized to Gwen for his betrayal, and he asked for a clean slate. Gwen asked for a divorce in return, but Dimitri was reluctant to let Gwen go unpunished. Leo asked Dimitri to let his grudge go for him. Dimitri agreed.
After Gwen left, Dimitri asked Leo what his real plan was to deal with Gwen. Leo told Dimitri that he had meant it when he said he wanted to let the grudge go because he never wanted to hurt Gwen again. When Dimitri and Leo started to kiss, Leo had memories of Javi. Leo pushed Dimitri away and told him that he did not want to be with him. Dimitri was furious. Dimitri uttered a number of toxic statements to hurt Leo. Leo listened quietly as Dimitri cut him down. As Dimtri stormed out, he saw Javi talking to Rafe in the square.
EJ talked to Cat about the will reading and his worry that Kristen was out to get him. Cat overheard Kristen plotting against EJ with Sophia. Steve apologized to Cat for judging her. Steve asked Brady to work with him at Black Patch. Brady said he would consider the offer.
Brady asked Tate to get a copy of Sophia’s fingerprints. When Tate joked about his detective dad, Brady admitted that Steve had offered him a job at Black Patch. Tate urged Brady to follow in his father’s footsteps. After Tate admitted that he did not know what path he wanted to follow, he told Brady that he wanted to drop out of school. Brady said he would support his decision. Tate followed Brady’s instructions and secured Sophia’s fingerprints.
Stephanie told Alex that her writing career was over because she could not put herself in the right headspace to write romance novels. Alex promised to protect Stephanie, but she noted that with the combined efforts of Alex, Steve, and the police, she had still been kidnapped. Stephanie asked Alex to help her get a gun.
Stephanie suffered a panic attack while home alone. Steve agreed to help Stephanie learn to shoot a gun, but he advised her to talk to a therapist about her fears. Stephanie met with Marlena. Marlena told Stephanie that she was traumatized but that she could feel better in time.
Kristen almost told Rachel that Marlena had betrayed her in court. Rachel told Kristen about her disappointment over how Sophia had used her. When Brady visited, he and Kristen fought and upset Rachel. Brady told Sarah about his fight with Kristen and that she had moved out. Brady and Sarah made love for the first time.
Marlena ran into Sophia in the square, where she offered to recommend a therapist for her. Marlena told Sophia that she did not think she was crazy, just traumatized. Sophia told Marlena that she did not buy her act and stormed off.
Chanel gave Johnny her blessing to stay on as CEO at DiMera. Paulina was shocked to learn from Chanel that Theo had quit as CEO and Johnny had taken the job. Paulina warned Chanel that EJ would ruin their lives. When Theo broke the news to Abe and Paulina, Theo did not tell them about Lexie.

Rafe agreed to team up with Kristen, and he asked her to search the DiMera mansion for evidence of EJ’s secret project. Kristen did not find anything. Suspicious, EJ called Rita to instruct her to have security warn him if anyone arrived on the grounds unannounced. Xander overheard EJ’s call on his way out after a tryst with Gwen.
