Here is what happened on Days of our Lives, the week of December 8-12, 2025, when Cat drugged EJ to search for Chad, the stalker followed Stephanie, Brady moved into the Kiriakis mansion, and the number of captives in the crypt grew.
What happened on Days of our Lives
After Cat drugged EJ, she searched the mansion while he was unconscious. Cat roused EJ awake, and he learned about Theo’s disappearance. Touched by Cat’s concern, EJ leaned in for a kiss. Susan interrupted the moment. Cat went to Rafe to tell him what she had done at the mansion. Rafe yelled at Cat for her reckless behavior, and he made her promise never to act on her own again.
After Gwen learned from Leo that Chad was missing, she panicked. Gwen demanded to know if EJ had kidnapped his family members, because it could compromise their project with Rolf. Gwen asked for some results from their project. EJ reminded Gwen that Rolf’s efforts to create a serum to revive the dead would take time to work.
Susan spotted Rolf exiting the DiMera tunnels into the living room, and she confronted him. Rolf explained that he was staying in the tunnels while he was visiting Salem. Rolf told Gwen and EJ about his conversation with Susan.
Jada met up with Rafe at his home to discuss his investigation into EJ, and his suspicion that EJ was behind the disappearances. Jada argued that EJ had no reason to take Chad, because Chad had no interest in the family business. Rafe showed Jada the photos that Cat had taken in the tunnels.
With a threat to the DiMeras looming over the entire DiMera family, a worried Javi and Leo started an investigation in order to protect Trey. After reviewing gala footage, Leo theorized to Javi that Gwen was working with EJ. Leo asked Johnny for help with the video, and Johnny used software to analyze the footage.
Alex surprised Stephanie in Chicago as her stalker lurked in the hallway outside her room. After Alex and Stephanie made love, Alex talked about starting a family within five years. When Alex asked Stephanie if that scared her, Stephanie would only confirm that she believed she would be with Alex in five years. The stalker messaged a fellow fan about getting rid of Anastasia’s boyfriend. Another fan cautioned the stalker not to kill the boyfriend. The stalker noted that they would not get caught. Back in Salem, Alex found an alarming new fan letter.
Paulina told Chanel about Theo and Chad’s disappearances. Paulina promised to provide a security detail. Chanel was suspicious of EJ, but Paulina convinced her that EJ was an unlikely suspect. Johnny returned home early from Chicago to watch over Trey. EJ asked Johnny to take over the company until Theo could be found. Chanel rejected the job offer. They hung Trey’s first ornament on the tree.
Jada executed a search warrant for the DiMera mansion, but she found no evidence that anyone was living in the tunnels. EJ confronted Gwen about the search, but Gwen argued that she had no reason to tell anyone about Rolf. EJ guessed that Leo had tipped off Jada, and he called Rita to deal with him. Worried, Gwen made a cryptic suggestion to Leo to leave town for his own safety.
Brady moved into the Kiriakis mansion and explained to Sarah why he was mad at Marlena. Sarah defended Marlena’s actions, but Brady argued that he could have helped his daughter if he had known the truth. Sarah told Brady that she still loved Rachel, and she empathized with her. Brady admitted that he regretted how he had treated Kristen when she left for prison. When Brady discussed how difficult it was to see Rachel in Bayview, Sarah hugged him to comfort him.
Tate told Holly about his plan to move into the mansion over the holidays. Holly told Tate she looked forward to living with him after she returned from Paris. After Tate and Holly made love in the dorms, she asked him to join her in Paris for Christmas. Tate agreed.
Rachel sent an apology letter to Sarah. Rachel covered for Sophia while Sophia snuck out of Bayview to get burgers. Sophia promised Rachel that it was the start of their adventures together.
Xander talked to Marlena in her hospital room. He admitted that it was hard to see Sarah with Brady. Marlena suggested another therapist. Xander said he did not think he could trust anyone the way he trusted Marlena. Xander told Marlena that Brady had convinced him to sign the divorce papers, but he was worried that Sarah would move on with Brady before he could learn to be a better man. Xander asked about Rachel, and he admitted that he felt for Brady as a father. Xander told Marlena that he did not resent that he had signed away his visitation rights to Victoria because that was what was best for her.
Gabi admitted to Javi that Leo was growing on her. Gabi told Javi that she had talked to Theo at trivia night before he had been abducted. Gabi assured Javi that she had not done anything to Theo. Concerned, Javi told Rafe that Gabi had been the one to betray Xander and Philip. Rafe asked Gabi about the disappearances since she had a motive, but she swore she was innocent.

Theo was thrown into the crypt with his family. Theo and Chad used mausoleum vases to dig a hole in the crypt, but they stopped when they found human bones. While Theo and Chad debated the identity of the body, their captor dumped an unconscious EJ into the crypt with them.
