What happened on Days of our Lives

Tate helped Brady move into the new apartment. When Tate mentioned that he was happy that Rachel was home, Brady sighed. “What’s up?” Tate asked. Brady explained that he loved having Rachel home, but he was worried that Kristen had removed Rachel before she was ready. “Kristen has full custody, and she took every advantage to make sure I had no part in that decision,” Brady said. Tate was outraged. Brady said he wanted to keep things civil.
“[Kristen] has agreed to joint custody,” Brady said. Brady told Tate about Kristen’s condition that she would be allowed to move into the new apartment for one month. “We have to put Rachel through an intensive outpatient program,” Brady said. Brady added that they needed to provide a stable, two-parent home.
“Please tell me that there is zero chance of you and Kristen getting back together,” Tate said. Brady said that would not happen and that he had made it clear to Kristen. Brady changed the subject to Valentine’s Day, and Tate thanked Brady for letting him have the apartment for his date with Holly.

At Bayview, Sophia put her anti-psychotics medication in an empty mint tin. Sophia flashed back to when she had switched out her tin of saved medication with the skincare supplements from Holly’s bag. Dr. Gregory walked in, and she told Sophia that she was pleased with her progress. Dr. Gregory encouraged Sophia to participate in group therapy more and to let the medication help her heal. After the doctor left, Sophia said, “The meds will help Dr. G. Just not in the way you thought.”
At the dorms, Holly told Ari that Bayview had called, and she had gone over to pick up her supplements that she had dropped there by accident. As Holly took a pill, Ari asked Holly if they worked. Holly was adamant that without them, her skin would break out. “I got to bring my A game to rush,” Holly said.
Ari asked about Holly’s visit with Sophia. Holly admitted that she was shocked that Sophia wanted to apologize. “Believe it or not, Sophia and I sort of kind of made peace,” Holly said. As Holly and Ari got ready for the Gamma rush party, Holly grew increasingly anxious. Ari admitted that if Holly had not asked her to rush Gamma, she likely would not have done it.
When Ari and Holly arrived at the square for the Gamma mixer, they introduced themselves to the president, Maisy. Maisy commented on how hot Holly’s boyfriend is. Holly’s smile faded. When Maisy continued to talk about Tate, Holly aggressively asked, “Do you think you’re better than I am?” Maisy stressed that she had only been joking. Holly yelled at Maisy to stay away from her boyfriend.
“What did you just say to me?” Maisy asked. Holly started to repeat herself, and then she appeared confused. “I don’t know what I just said,” Holly whispered. Holly apologized. Embarrassed, Holly ran off. Maisy asked Ari if Holly was always a jerk. “Honest, I have no idea what just happened,” Ari said. Ari started to run after Holly, but Maisy grabbed her arm and asked about Ari’s Gabi Chic dress. Ari confirmed that her mother owned the company. Maisy gasped, and she asked Ari to tell her everything about herself.
“Okay, but first I need to tell you about Holly,” Ari said. “That she’s a psycho?” Maisy grumbled. Ari defended Holly, and she noted that although Holly was under the weather, she normally was very nice. As Ari continued to list Holly’s merits, Maisy interrupted to note that Ari sounded like a PR representative. “I’m just her friend, okay? And I need you to know who Holly is,” Ari said. Maisy told Ari she was impressed with what a good friend she was to Holly. Maisy added that Holly was not right for the sorority. “You are,” Maisy said.

Xander ran into Marlena in the square and wished her a Happy Valentine’s Day. Marlena asked how he was doing. “I’m just trying to treat it like any other day,” Xander admitted. “As am I,” Marlena said. Marlena told Xander that she had Galentine’s Day plans with Julie. Xander said he intended to hit golf balls as a healthy way to deal with his negative emotions. As Maggie and Sarah walked through the square, Xander and Sarah stared at one another.
“I suppose it would be too much to ask for Sarah to come over and say hi and let me get a visit with my daughter,” Xander. Marlena noted that Xander’s agreement with Sarah did not prohibit contact with his daughter. Across the square, Maggie reminded Sarah that Victoria could also see Xander. Sarah walked over.
“Victoria wanted to say hi,” Sarah said. Marlena politely excused herself, and she left. Xander asked Sarah if it was okay to give his daughter a gift. Sarah nodded yes. Xander gave Victoria a teddy bear and chocolate. Sarah explained that chocolate gave Victoria an upset stomach. Xander told Sarah to keep the chocolates, and he said he remembered they were her favorites.
“I also remember a very special chocolate cake that we both enjoyed a whole lot,” Xander said. Xander and Sarah thought about how Sarah had used a cake to propose to him, and they both teared up. “I have to go,” Sarah stammered. Xander wished Sarah and Victoria a Happy Valentine’s Day, and she hurried off.

In the Bistro, Julie teased Gwen about her money issues as Gwen sipped a martini. Gwen and Julie traded insults. Then, Julie walked away. When Maggie and Marlena arrived, they joined Julie at her table. Julie admitted that she had never cared about the holiday before Doug. Maggie said she had always loved the holiday. Marlena told the women about her and John's strawberries and whipped cream.
“On what turned out to be his final mission, it was Christmastime, and somehow he had arranged to have strawberries and whipped cream delivered. And I remember thinking, ‘That’s okay because he’ll be home by Valentine’s Day,’” Marlena said. Marlena then teared up. Marlena, Julie and Maggie talked about how people were moving out of their homes, leaving them in an empty nest.
Julie asked Maggie if it was likely that there would be a romance between Brady and Sarah. “I think it’s too soon,” Maggie said. Maggie added that in the future, she would be happy if the two dated. “I am so blessed to have both of you great ladies in my life,” Julie said. Julie added that she was grateful they could lean on one another. The three women toasted to Galentine’s Day and the best of friends.

At the driving range, Xander sliced a golf ball into a car windshield. As Xander continued to practice his swing, Gwen walked over to Xander with her bag of clubs, and she complained about the “idiot” who had driven a ball into her car’s window. Xander apologized. With a chuckle, Xander admitted that it was embarrassing that he could not play golf since Scotland was his birthplace.
As Xander readied a swing, Gwen criticized his form. Gwen took a swing, and Xander admitted he was impressed by Gwen’s golfing abilities. Gwen gave Xander some pointers and wrapped her arms around him to show him how to stand.

When Holly arrived at Brady’s apartment, Tate asked about the mixer. “It was a total nightmare,” Holly said before she broke down in tears. Holly told Tate what had happened. “I knew what I was saying was terrible, but I couldn’t stop the words from leaving my mouth,” Holly said. “I’m sure it wasn’t that bad,” Tate said. Tate asked Holly if it would be so bad if she did not get into the sorority. Holly called Tate selfish and insensitive.
“You clearly don’t know how important this is to me!” Holly yelled. Holly ran out of the apartment, but Tate stopped her in the hallway and apologized. “I’m doing it again,” Holly said. Holly worried aloud that something was wrong with her. Tate reassured Holly that she was tired and overwhelmed with stress. Holly agreed. At Bayview, Sophia was scrolling through social media. When Sophia saw a video of Holly lashing out against Maisy in the square, she laughed hysterically.

Sarah and Victoria ran into Brady at the pub. Brady explained that he was eating dinner alone on Valentine’s Day because he had given his apartment to Tate for the evening. “My son is kicking my butt in the romance department,” Brady said. Brady asked Sarah to join him for dinner. Sarah told Brady about her run-in with Xander in the square and how it had been civil.
“I just got hit with this wave of emotion. I thought I would be over those by now,” Sarah admitted with a chuckle. Brady apologized to Sarah for his overreaction to her suggestion to move. “I’m actually glad I stepped up my apartment search, because Rachel is out of Bayview,” Brady said. Sarah was excited, but Brady explained why it was a problem. Brady also told Sarah about his custody arrangement with Kristen.
“I am going to set boundaries,” Brady said. With a laugh, Sarah countered, “And Kristen is known for respecting boundaries.” Brady agreed. After a moment, Brady admitted he had almost bought flowers for Sarah. Sarah asked why he had changed his mind. Brady admitted that he did not want Sarah to know that he wished he and Sarah were together for Valentine’s day.
