On Days of our Lives today, Monday, February 2, 2026, the ghost of Stefano still looms, Gabi confronts Theo, and Kristen and Brady clash, as do Julie and JJ.
What Happened on Days of our Lives

In Horton Town Square, Rafe filled Gabi in on Javi’s dad, who was apparently going to make a full recovery. Rafe said Javi had wanted the family to tell Leo the news. From the conversations, Rafe could tell Javi was still in a lot of pain about Leo. The topic of conversation shifted to Rafe’s upcoming trip to Alamainia. Gabi hoped that Vivian was lying about Stefan’s death; she confided that she still wished she could see her ex and talk to him just one more time.
After parting ways with Gabi, Rafe spotted Liam and told Abe’s mentee that they needed to talk in private. Rafe took Liam to the park and immediately disclosed that Liam was a suspect in the DiMera kidnappings. Liam tried to play dumb at first, but soon gave up the act when Rafe outlined the evidence against him. Liam admitted that a man (with a distinct mark on his face) whom he had never met before had approached him at a bar and insinuated that he could make money if he completed a job. Liam swore, though, that his job began and ended with stocking the crypt with a camera and with moving a sarcophagus inside it.
After Liam recounted his story, Rafe realized that Stefano’s bones had been buried by Liam, who had panicked after the skeleton had fallen out of the sarcophagus. Liam worried that the DiMera family might retaliate against him for disturbing their father’s resting place, but Rafe reminded Liam that he had bigger concerns: namely, the kidnapping charges. Liam pledged again that he had no knowledge of those crimes until Abe had told him. He had felt horrible, but couldn’t come forward because he hadn’t wanted his son to lose another parent. Rafe said the FBI could work out a deal with Liam if he helped them catch the “big fish” by providing a sketch of the man who had hired him.
Back in Horton Town Square, JJ followed Jeremy, who had decided to go out and face the world on Julie’s advice. Gabi saw JJ appearing to wait for someone and asked if he was on a date…a development with which she would be fine, she let him know. JJ assured her he wasn’t and redirected the question to her. Gabi picked up on JJ’s insinuation that Philip and she both might be having problems.
JJ indicated that Theo had said something to him about Philip and Gabi’s relationship likely not lasting, and then apologized for his slip. Gabi, with anger in her eyes, thanked JJ for telling her and left. JJ spotted Jeremy leaving Sweet Bits and trailed him back home.
JJ airs his suspicions

At the Horton House, JJ tried to subtly question Jeremy about his plans to leave town. He hinted that departing Salem might make Jeremy look guilty. Julie, who had overheard the exchange, was outraged on Jeremy’s behalf and accused JJ of acting as a “double agent” against his own cousin. JJ, in turn, accused Julie of turning a blind eye to Jeremy’s potential misdeeds, just as she had with Nick.
Jeremy implored JJ to see that someone was using his past against him and setting him up. JJ said he didn’t want to believe Jeremy was guilty but had to follow the facts. Jeremy invited JJ to keep following him if that’s what it took to prove he wasn’t the stalker. Julie reaffirmed her belief in Jeremy’s innocence. She ordered JJ to end the hostilities, or else find another place to live.
Theo faces the music

At Abe and Paulina’s place, Abe helped a still-recovering Theo get settled on the couch. He took the opportunity to update Theo on the identification of the crypt bones. Theo was saddened to learn of the confirmation of his grandfather’s passing. Stefano had always treated Theo like an adult, despite Theo's neurodivergence and autism. And Theo recalled when his mom Lexie had died, his nonno had held onto him as if Theo was his last connection to Lexie.
Theo felt as if he had lost a connection to his mom, too. Abe comforted his son and suggested they take some time and look through photo albums. A knock at the door interrupted their bonding moment. It was Gabi, who claimed she had stopped by to check on Theo. Abe excused himself and departed, leaving the duo alone.
Theo immediately sensed Gabi had an ulterior motive for her visit. She responded by laying into him for what he had said to JJ about Philip and her. A flustered Theo claimed he had been foggy on drugs and didn’t really remember what he had said. Gabi relayed what JJ had told her and asked if Theo had said anything about her involvement with Tony’s scheme. Theo promised he hadn’t revealed her secret and again blamed the drugs, so Gabi forgave him after a bit of cajoling.
Meanwhile, Abe made his way to Horton Town Square and met up with Paulina. He told her about his conversation with Theo and mentioned Liam’s possible involvement with Theo’s kidnapping as well. Paulina vowed that Liam would pay if he had any culpability in the crime. Abe had another problem, as he was torn about whether or not to tell Theo about Stefano’s role in Lexie’s death. Paulina advised Abe to keep quiet and to allow Theo to retain his positive memories of both Lexie and Stefano.
Kristen lays down the law

At the Brady Pub, Brady and Kristen convened to discuss Rachel. Kristen informed Brady about Sophia’s continued communications with Rachel, which concerned Brady. He wanted to talk the issue over with Rachel’s doctor, but Kristen vetoed that idea. She did not care for the advice the doctor had been giving lately. Brady concluded that Kristen was really angry with Dr. Gregory because she had encouraged Brady’s relationship with Sarah.
The conversation went downhill at the mention of Sarah’s name, and Kristen snarked about Sarah “tattling” on her. Kristen reaffirmed her stance that Brady seeing the woman who had kidnapped Rachel was “selfish” and would set back her recovery. Moreover, Kristen didn’t approve of Dr. Gregory’s or Sophia’s influence over Rachel and announced her intention to take Rachel out of Bayview. When Brady protested, Kristen reminded him that she once again had sole custody since her release from prison. Kristen declared she wasn’t asking but telling Brady about her decision.
Brady brought up revisiting the custody issue, but Kristen stressed she only wanted Rachel to have stability. As such, she would be moving out of the DiMera mansion and would let Rachel stay with Brady on one condition – Brady got his own place. Brady griped about Kristen wanting to keep Rachel away from Sarah but eventually relented. Kristen offered a concession of her own: she would attend a meeting with Dr. Gregory and Brady following Stefano’s memorial. Both agreed that Rachel should not be involved in the meeting.
EJ struggles

At the DiMera mansion, EJ again berated Gwen for bringing Dimitri back to Salem. Gwen defended herself and stated she was already working on a solution to their problem…with Vivian’s help. EJ didn’t trust Vivian, especially since she could have been involved with the kidnappings. He threatened that anyone responsible for his family’s turmoil would live to regret it. He wanted to focus on his job and on their secret project.
Gwen took note of EJ’s even more testy than usual demeanor. When he remarked about his father’s upcoming memorial, Gwen offered to provide a listening ear. EJ balked but did eventually confide his conflicted feelings. He was struggling to come to terms with the fact that the storied Phoenix was indeed just a mere mortal after all.
