What happened on Days of our Lives, February 2nd through 6th, 2026, when Julie fought JJ, Rafe learned about Stefan’s kidnapping, Liam gave the police a sketch of Vivian’s henchman, Kristen fought Brady, and Salemites held a memorial for Stefano.
What happened on Days of our Lives
Abe told Theo that the bones in the crypt were Stefano. Theo admitted that he felt like he had lost his connection to his mother. To help his son process his grief, Abe showed Theo old photo albums. When Abe later asked Paulina whether he should tell Theo about Stefano’s involvement in Lexie’s death, Paulina advised Abe to let Theo retain his positive memories of Stefano.
JJ followed Jeremy to the square to keep an eye on him. While JJ waited, Gabi asked him if he was waiting for a date. JJ said no, and he implied that Gabi was having dating troubles with Philip. When Gabi pressed JJ about it, he admitted that Theo had hinted that Gabi's relationship was on the rocks. Gabi confronted Theo. Theo promised that he had not told anyone about Gabi’s betrayal of Titan. Gabi forgave Theo.
When JJ returned home and advised Jeremy not to leave town, Julie objected to JJ’s accusation. Jeremy swore that he was being set up. Angry, Julie warned JJ to back off from Jeremy or find another place to live.
Rafe interrogated Liam until Liam admitted that a man with a scar had paid him to deliver food, water, and a sarcophagus to the DiMera crypt. Liam apologized to Abe. When Liam worked with a sketch artist, the artist drew a picture of Vivian’s henchman, Klaus.
Rafe and Eli questioned Vivian at her home in Alamainia. While searching the home, Rafe found a tablet computer that was tuned to the feed of the camera Rafe had taken from the crypt. Vivian told Rafe and Eli that the room with the tablet had been occupied by Dimitri for weeks before he had returned to Salem. Eli checked with the staff, and they corroborated Vivian’s story. Vivian called Gwen and told her that the plan was working.
Rafe and Eli met with a disgruntled Alamain employee, who confirmed that the only person held captive at the mansion had been Stefan. The woman said Vivian had kidnapped Stefano to keep him from Gabi. The woman also confirmed that Stefan had been alive when she had seen him the year before.
In Salem, EJ continued to yell at Gwen for allowing Dimitri to return to Salem. Gwen told EJ that she was working on a plan with Vivian to fix things. EJ said he did not trust Vivian, and that he believed she had been involved in the DiMera kidnappings. Gwen asked EJ if he wanted to talk about why he was so angry. EJ opened up about his conflicting feelings about Stefano’s confirmed death.
Cat delivered Stefano’s urn to EJ. Susan was dismayed to see Cat at the house, but EJ warned Susan to be nicer to Cat. Susan told EJ that she believed her premonition about Stefano’s presence had been about his bones being in the crypt.
When Dimitri ran into Leo in the square, he challenged Leo to invite him up to his room to prove that he was not afraid to be alone with him. Leo accepted the challenge. Dimitri took the opportunity to undress despite Leo’s protests, so Leo walked out. Dimitri and Gwen were both served with divorce papers later that day.
Gabi was suspicious of Philip’s behavior at the office, so he told her that he had planned a surprise Valentine’s Day weekend away. Gabi asked Philip to call Vivian and ask her about Stefan. Philip said he and Vivian were not speaking, but he did not tell her why.
Rafe confirmed with Gabi that the body in Stefan’s grave was Stefan. Rafe reluctantly told Gabi what he had learned about Stefan’s kidnapping. Rafe sent Gabi’s divorce papers to the ISA handwriting expert to confirm the employee’s story. Gabi was eager to see Vivian punished for her actions.
Kristen told EJ that Rafe had questions for him after his return from Alamainia. Concerned, EJ left Gwen a voicemail demanding an update on what had happened with Vivian in Alamainia so that he would be prepared when Rafe questioned him.
Kristen told Brady that Sophia had attempted to contact Rachel. When Brady suggested they talk to Dr. Gregory, Kristen questioned the doctor’s interest in Brady’s relationship with Sarah. Brady wanted to negotiate a new custody agreement, but Kristen refused to allow Brady to have any custody until he found a new place to live.
Kristen agreed to meet with Dr. Gregory and Brady as long as Rachel was not involved. At the meeting, Kristen demanded that Dr. Gregory release Rachel, despite Brady’s objections. Rachel was upset when she overheard Brady and Kristen argue. Kristen told Rachel she loved her, and she walked out. Upset, Rachel asked Brady why he would not let her go home.
Sophia asked to speak with Holly. Sophia pretended to ask for forgiveness, and Holly forgave her. Holly apologized to Sophia for having hurt her as well. While Holly was distracted, Sophia stole Holly’s bottle of vitamin supplements. Sophia altered the pills and returned them to the bottle.
The DiMera family held a memorial for Stefano. Salemites paid their last respects to the Phoenix. While some said a loving goodbye, others were pleased to have Stefano permanently out of their lives. EJ overheard Johnny talking about Chanel’s pregnancy. When EJ crowed about the new blood DiMera, an angry Johnny reminded EJ that Trey was also a DiMera.

Marlena spoke to Stefano’s urn about their complicated history and that she was grateful because it had led her to John. When Marlena said she was glad that Stefano was finally gone for good, the candles blew out on their own.
