Days of our Lives Recap, February 23-27, 2026: A mission, a scheme, and a kidnapping

Here is what happened on Days of our Lives, the week of February 23rd through 27th, 2026, when Abe plotted with EJ, Holly confided in Maggie about her rage, Sophia attempted to enlist Rachel’s help, Dimitri and Leo surveilled Vivian’s estate, Salem searched for Stephanie after she was kidnapped, and Stephanie was horrified by the identity of her captor.

What happened on Days of our Lives

Theo was cleared to return to work. Abe was upset by the news, and he asked EJ for help. EJ noted that Theo had been a great CEO, but offered to deploy a plan to keep Johnny as CEO instead. Abe agreed as long as EJ promised not to hurt Theo.

Holly refused to go with Ari to the mixer, despite Ari telling her she talked her up to the sorority. Ari warned Holly that she was being unusually rude. Worried, Holly told Maggie about her emotional issues. Ari ran into Liam at Small Bar, and they flirted and kissed.

EJ confronted Liam about his part in the DiMera kidnappings. EJ promised to help keep Liam out of prison if Liam promised to tell him instead of the police if the person who had hired him reached out again. Interpol identified Klaus as the scarred man who had hired Liam, and that he had last been seen in Alamania.

Johnny made Bonnie an offer for her book. While chatting, Johnny let it slip that Chanel was pregnant. At the hospital, Chanel got to hear her baby’s heartbeat. When Johnny met up with Chanel at home, he told her that Theo was returning to work and his time at DiMera was almost over. The newlyweds listened to the audio of their baby’s heartbeat together. Chanel had another stomach pain, but she told Johnny that was normal. Once alone, Johnny opened up EJ’s baby gift, and he hid the silver baby cup from Chanel rather than throw it out.

Alex told Justin and Bonnie about his elopement and why they had done it. Justin was worried about the sting operation, but Alex assured Justin that he would be fine. As Alex and Stephanie prepared to go through with their trap for the stalker, the stalker overheard them on the bug mention that they had already gotten married. Stephanie worked in Kayla’s office while Alex went with the police to the courthouse.

Jada found footage of a masked man in Jeremy’s mad scientist costume attempting to stab Alex on Halloween. With the new evidence, Jada moved to arrest Jeremy rather than go forward with the sting operation. Jeremy escaped the police at the school, so Jada ordered a BOLO for his arrest. Jada texted Alex to inform him that the sting was cancelled.

Alex bumped into EJ in the square, and he thanked him for the picture frame EJ had sent for his engagement to Stephanie. When EJ stressed that he had not sent a gift because he had not known about the engagement, Alex rushed over to the hospital to see Stephanie.

A man posed as a hospital employee and kidnapped Stephanie from Kayla’s office. Kayla discovered Stephanie's police escort stashed in an exam room. Sarah confirmed the officer had been drugged. Alex told Jada and EJ that he believed that Jeremy had planted a bug in a picture frame.

Gabi comforted Philip after he heard about Stephanie’s kidnapping. Philip offered a reward for information. Philip told Gabi that he believed Stefan had not signed the divorce papers because he would not have left Gabi voluntarily.

Rafe asked Cat for help with Stephanie’s kidnapping case. While Cat and Rafe reviewed the evidence, Rafe learned that the inhalant drug that the stalker used was not available commercially. Rafe told Cat that the police had not seen anything strange in EJ’s lab.

In Alamainia, Dimitri showed Leo the photos he had taken of the layout of Vivian’s house and the security. Leo insisted on acting as lookout for Dimitri while he snuck into Vivian’s mansion. When Leo learned about Stephanie’s kidnapping from social media, he was tempted to return home. Dimitri offered to give Leo the jet, but Leo decided to stay because there was no one else to help Dimitri prove his innocence.

A distracted Tate hung out with Rachel while Brady helped the police look for Stephanie. Rachel said she had always been creeped out by Jeremy, but no one had listened to her. Holly apologized to Tate. Sophia called Rachel. Sophia explained that she wanted to anonymously do something nice for Holly, and she asked Rachel to give Holly a bottle of her favorite vitamins. Rachel was suspicious of Sophia’s motives. When Rachel told Sophia that Holly and Tate were making out on the couch, a stunned Sophia ended the call.

Brady and Alex found a witness who had spotted Jeremy by the pub after Stephanie’s kidnapping. Brady suggested that Jeremy might not have been the kidnapper, but Jada and Steve pointed out the overwhelming evidence against him.

When Stephanie awoke in a storage room, she was bound and gagged to a chair. Jeremy revealed himself to Stephanie as the kidnapper. Jeremy explained that Stephanie must still love him if she had written about him so lovingly in her book. Jeremy vowed to kill Alex so that Stephanie could get over him and remember her love for Jeremy again. Jeremy executed Alex in front of her, but Stephanie woke up and realized that she had been having a nightmare.

Stephanie struggled to free herself from the ropes around her wrists. As Stephanie was able to pull one arm free, Jeremy entered the room. Jeremy said he was there to save Stephanie, but she did not believe him. Jeremy begged Stephanie to go with him before her real kidnapper returned. Stephanie continued to resist, and she gasped when Owen Kent stepped into the room.
