On the Friday, February 6, 2026, episode of Days of our Lives, Salem citizens paid their last respects at Stefano’s memorial.
What happened on Days of our Lives

In the square, Tony apologized to Anna for having interrupted their cruise again. “Learning that your father is really and truly off to the great beyond? How could you enjoy the rest of our trip?” Anna said. Tony nodded and said he needed to be there for his family. “And I need to be here for you,” Anna said.
In their apartment, Chanel told Johnny she would not attend the memorial because of EJ. Johnny stressed that his priority was to keep Chanel happy, and he promised not to let EJ upset him. “You’re my family now. And nothing will ever change that,” Johnny said.
At Abe and Paulina’s apartment, Theo asked Abe not to attend Stefano’s memorial. Abe agreed to respect Theo’s request. Theo noted that he was eager to get back his life. “Including your job at DiMera?” Abe asked. Theo said yes.

Inside the pub, Roman asked Marlena if she wanted to skip Stefano’s memorial. “I think I need to be there,” Marlena said. Marlena thanked Kate for letting her join them. “You’re not alone, Doc. Never will be,” Roman said. Marlena hugged Roman, and Kate’s smile disappeared. Kate announced that she was leaving for the mansion. “I want to say goodbye to Stefano on my own. I think you could understand that,” Kate said. Marlena encouraged Roman to follow Kate. “I think she needs to do this on her own,” Roman said.
Outside the Brady Pub, Steve read a text from Jada that confirmed that she would stay with Stephanie while Steve and Kayla attended Stefano’s memorial. Kate exited the pub and told Steve and Kayla she would see them at the memorial. Steve and Kayla walked in, and Steve asked if everything was okay with Kate. “I think I will head out right now,” Roman said. After Roman left, Kayla asked what had happened. “I think feelings are a little raw right now,” Marlena said. Steve lamented that John was not with Marlena for the memorial.
“I know it would have been satisfying to know that [John] was getting closure after everything Stefano put him through,” Steve said. Marlena agreed. “I’m remembering that there was a time when John thought that he was a DiMera. He was horrified by that, though. Thank God it turned out to be not true,” Marlena said. “Amen,” Steve agreed.

EJ and Chad were in the DiMera living room when Kristen told EJ that Rafe had been looking for him. “I’m certainly used to Hernandez harassing me, but I thought he’d have more tact than to do it before our father’s memorial,” EJ grumbled. Kristen noted that it was unlikely that Rafe cared after what EJ had done to him.
“I hope he locks you up and throws away the key,” Kristen said. “Can we not do this right now?” Chad yelled. When Chad started to say that he understood that Kristen was mad at EJ about Rachel, Kristen warned Chad not to upset her. “I just lost a brother and disowned another. I would really hate to add your name to that,” Kristen growled. EJ reminded Kristen that he had been the victim. “Go to hell, EJ!” Kristen yelled. “Stop!” Chad screamed. Chad reminded his siblings that they needed to come together as a family.
Kristen asked if anyone had heard from Dimitri. “Maybe Rafe found something damning about him in Alamainia, something about his alleged kidnapping?” EJ said. Kristen told her brothers that Rafe had confirmed that Stefan had died. Chad sighed. “So Peter, Stefan, Father. The funeral industry is making a real killing on us DiMeras, isn’t it?” Kristen said. EJ asked about Gwen. Kristen said she had warned Gwen to keep away. EJ said he had told Susan the same.
Tony and Anna arrived, and Tony offered his condolences to Kristen about Peter. “I know you were faced with an incredibly difficult decision,” Tony said. “He’s at peace now. At least I hope so,” Kristen said. Theo arrived. “Everyone’s behaving,” Theo noted as he looked around the room. “Give it some time,” Kristen said. Tony noted that he thought Stefano’s urn was elegant. “I think a black and gold urn with a rising Phoenix motif would have been more fitting,” Anna said.
Outside the mansion, EJ left a voicemail for Gwen demanding that she call him back. “Rafe is back in town. And apparently, he has some questions for me. So you better damn well clue me in on what happened in Alamainia,” EJ said.
When Paulina arrived at Chanel’s home, Chanel explained that she had decided to stay home. The bakery called about a delivery issue, and Paulina cautioned Chanel to delegate more. Chanel noted that Johnny would be able to help more once he was done with his stint at DiMera. Chanel said she was anxious to feel her baby kick.
Chanel told Paulina that EJ had attempted to use Trey as a way to get back into Johnny’s life. “[EJ] still has not taken any responsibility for his actions for what he did to Sami, what he did to me at the trial. He thinks that I’m the one that’s influencing Johnny to hate him,” Chanel said. Chanel admitted that she was worried about how EJ would retaliate against her.

At the DiMera mansion, EJ eagerly greeted Johnny. Johnny noted that Chanel would not attend the memorial. “Right, because she can’t stand being around me,” EJ said. “Can you blame her?” Johnny countered. EJ said he could not, and he noted that he was happy that Johnny could attend.
Chad went into the foyer and checked on Kate. Kate admitted she was not sure how she felt and hugged Chad. “You lost your father, and you’re comforting me,” Kate noted. “You are very important to me. When I lost my mom, you were there for me. So I’m always gonna be there for you,” Chad said. Roman entered the house. After Chad returned to the living room, Roman apologized. “I should have realized what you were going through. It was insensitive of me,” Roman said. When Kate noted that she could handle herself, Roman told her that he would always be there to support her.
In the living room, Johnny told Theo that he was eager to see Theo back at work. Roman and Kate entered the living room. While Roman talked to Johnny, across the room, Kate spoke quietly to Stefano’s urn.
“I suppose I said everything I needed to say while you were alive,” Kate said. Kate told Stefano that Roman did not want Johnny to work at DiMera and that she would ensure that Johnny’s time as CEO was brief. Kate noted that everything would be for the best for both Johnny and Titan.
When Kate was done, Johnny took some time to talk to Stefano. “I imagine that this is quite a disappointing moment for you since I know you had every intention of living forever. I might be alone in this, but I kind of wish you could have,” Johnny said. As EJ listened from nearby, he heard Johnny tell Stefano about Trey and the new baby. “I miss you, Nonno,” Johnny said.
When Marlena arrived, EJ thanked her. “Regardless of how I felt about him, Stefano was a part of my life. And although his chapter is now closed, the book is not, because our families are connected,” Marlena said. By the urn, Steve and Kayla talked about how relieved they were that Stefano was gone for good. “You’re not coming back from this. Not through me, not through anyone,” Steve said. Kayla and Steve walked over to Chad, and they talked about the resolved custody dispute. “If my father taught me one thing, it’s that family is precious,” Chad said.
At the urn, Roman told Stefano that despite all that Stefano had done to destroy his life, he was in a good place. “I made a good life for myself with Katie,” Roman said. Roman noted that because he would get to see their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he had beaten Stefano.
EJ intercepted Johnny in the foyer on his way out. EJ admitted he had overheard Johnny tell Stefano about the pregnancy, and he congratulated him. Johnny asked EJ to keep the news quiet. When EJ noted that the baby was a blood DiMera, Johnny reminded EJ that his adopted son was also a DiMera. Furious, Johnny argued that Stefano had made no distinction between his children by blood or adoption. “He would be ashamed of you right now,” Johnny yelled. Johnny told EJ to stay away from him and his family.
When Johnny returned home, he told Chanel the memorial had been civil. Johnny told Chanel that EJ had overheard him talking about the pregnancy. “He was gonna find out sooner or later,” Chanel said.
In the living room, EJ, Tony, Kristen, Chad, and Theo paid their respects to Stefano. “We will honor his legacy and continue it. The house of DiMera will not fall,” EJ said. EJ suggested they adjourn to the dining room. Kristen stormed out.

Once the family had left the living room and Marlena was alone, she talked to Stefano’s urn. “I was your obsession,” Marlena said. Marlena thought about her time as Queen of the Night, dancing with Stefano.”You pulled me into your web and for that, my life was forever changed. You took so much from me. But because of you, John came into my life. He gave me strength. He gave me the courage to fight the very devil himself. I hope you rest in peace. Because that way, we will never have to see you again,” Marlena said. The candles blew out, startling Marlena.
