What happened on Days of our Lives

Gabi paid Theo another visit in his hospital room, where he proceeded to tell her a variety of corny jokes. JJ popped in and broke up their jovial moments with some burgers. Gabi tried not to show how seeing JJ affected her. When JJ apologized for only bringing two burgers, Gabi said she wasn't staying anyway, as he had a date with Philip.
After Gabi left, Theo told Gabi that he noticed his reaction when Gabi mentioned her date with Philip. JJ denied having any reaction. "I was just surprised she had to leave so quickly," JJ lied.
JJ sat down to talk and told Theo how worried he was about him when he was unconscious. "Not to mention, it brought up a lot of tough memories," JJ said, referring to the shooting several years ago. Theo apologized for how he treated JJ when he decided to become a cop again.
Theo was pleased when JJ told him that he had been continuing with unconscious bias training. "Those classes, they emphasize de-escalation," JJ said, which is the way it should be with any governmental officer authorized to carry a firearm. "We're taught to only reach for our service weapon as a last resort...I promise you that I will do the work so that I will not let fear hijack my brain."
When their talk turned to Gabi, Theo cryptically told JJ that he didn't think that Philip and Gabi would last, but he wouldn't say why.

Stephanie and Jada sat down in Horton Town Square after a day of wedding shopping, which was also a trap to lure out her stalker. Stephanie was surprised to learn that Alex was paying the Salem PD to protect Stephanie 24/7. Stephanie was more worried for Alex and admitted that she was beginning to regret ever writing One Stormy Night.
"At first it felt like a dream come true, but if that is what started all of this, it wasn't worth it," Stephanie said. Jada assured Stephanie that she and Steve would protect her and Alex. Stephanie also admitted that the whole situation her her terrified.

At the office, Alex confronted Philip about Xander's choice to fire Brady. "I guess news travels slow when you're working from home," Philip quipped. Alex was still angry because he wasn't involved with this decision. Philip explained that Xander fired Brady in the heat of an argument, so he also wasn't consulted.
Alex was worried about bad press, but Philip assured him that it was being presented to the public as a mutual decision that allows Brady to move on. Philip was curious when Steve appeared out of nowhere. Alex told him that Steve was now his personal bodyguard, as well as his future father-in-law.
Philip was alarmed when Alex told him that the stalker had threatened Alex's life. Steve assured him that he had things under control. Philip wanted to know what plan was in place to solve this.
He thought he had a right to know because Alex and Stephanie worked for Titan. Steve told Philip that they were trying to lure the stalker into a trap with the engagement announcement.

When Philip met up with Gabi for an evening stroll through the park, he told her how worried he was about Alex and Stephanie, but he wanted to just stay in the moment for their date. Gabi soon noticed a sign for Saxton's spring collection, noting with frustration that Gabi Chic wasn't releasing theirs until next week.
Saxton's even had a corn hole game set up as fun, so Philip and Gabi played, with Gabi victorious. Philip then changed the subject and asked how Gabi was dealing with the Stefan news. "I'm okay one moment, then awful the next," she admitted. She also insisted she was over Stefan and wouldn't want him back if he were still alive.
"I loved Stefan, but he broke my heart, shattered the illusion of everything I thought we had. Sadly, there was no closure," she said. However, she still hoped it turned out that Stefan wasn't actually dead. Philip flattered Gabi by telling her that Stefan was a fool for cheating on her. Gabi told Philip that if she had to make a choice, she'd choose Philip.
After their time at the office, Alex and Steve sat down for a meal at the Brady Pub, where they bonded over football talk. Soon, Steve got a text from Hope. She had found another disturbing website. This one was a shrine to Stephanie and even featured their engagement announcement. Steve said he would find the name of the person who purchased the domain.
When Jada and Stephanie arrived for some mozzarella sticks, Steve took Jada aside to talk to her about the creepy website. After they conferred for a few minutes, Jada told Steve she had "more than enough" since Hope confirmed who owned the URL.

Julie walked in the front door of the Horton house while on the phone, apologizing to Marlena apologizing for the joke she made at the bookstore. She was relieved when Marlena forgave her.
When she entered the living room, Jeremy told her that Jack and Jennifer had taken Thomas out to cheer him up. Thomas was not happy with the agreement his dad and grandparents had come to at mediation. Thomas was still not sure he could trust Chad. Julie asked Jeremy to talk to Thomas. Jeremy agreed to as long as Chad was fine with it.
Julie then asked Jeremy how he was doing. Jeremy told her that he'd turned down the offer to continue with the school district. Julie asked if that meant he was leaving Salem. Julie was broken up at the idea of losing Jeremy, while also worrying that Jack and Jennifer might take the children. Then she'd be all alone in this big house.
Jeremy didn't think that Thomas would really want to lose Salem and assured Julie that Thomas would come around. Julie asked where Jeremy planned to go. "I haven't decided yet. See where the wind takes me," he smiled. He felt he had too much baggage to make his home in Salem.
"Was your decision influenced by Stephanie's engagement to Alex Kiriakis?" Julie asked. Jeremy insisted that it didn't, telling Julie that he didn't return to Salem to win Stephanie back. "I'm always going to feel that Steph is the one who got away, or the one I pushed away with my own bad behavior," he admitted. But that didn't mean he was going to pursue her.
As Julie and Jeremy later enjoyed some pizza, Jada showed up at the front door to bring Jeremy in for questioning. He asked what it was about, but all she said was, "I think you know." When Julie told Jada that this had to be a misunderstanding, Jada explained what was happening to Stephanie and that she had more than enough evidence to question Jeremy.
