What happened on Days of our Lives, January 26th through 30th, 2026, when Chanel got good news, Johnny moved on Bonnie’s book, Kristen lashed out at Belle, Cat traced Peter’s finances to Liam, Chad signed the agreement, Rolf had a breakthrough, and Gwen asked Vivian for help with a plan.
What happened on Days of our Lives
Chanel had a successful ultrasound. Sarah found a heartbeat and embryo, and she told Johnny and Chanel that there was little chance that her cancer would recur.
Kristen confronted Sarah about her relationship with Rachel. Kristen ordered Sarah to back off Rachel and Brady. When Sarah told Brady, he argued that Kristen’s motivations were as much out of jealousy as they were about Rachel’s mental health.
Kristen met with Kristen and Rachel at Bayview to discuss the upcoming hearing. Rachel promised to tell the truth. When Rachel asked if EJ would be there, Kristen was adamant that she did not want her brother at the hearing. Kristen was furious when Belle told Rachel that it was possible that the judge would not accept the DA’s recommendations. Belle told Kristen that she did not want to blindside Rachel at the hearing with a possible outcome. Belle assured Rachel that she should be fine.
Xander met with Marlena, and he apologized for having fired Brady. Marlena asked Xander what had triggered his temper. When Xander explained that the divorce decree had upset him, Marlena asked Xander if he was angry about Sarah’s relationship with Brady. Xander confided that he felt like Sarah and Brady were attracted to one another in part to spite him. Marlena encouraged Xander to pick up a hobby like boxing in order to separate himself emotionally from Sarah.
Rafe informed Cat that Bo and Hope were handling the disinterment of Stefan’s body in Alamania. Cat promised not to do anything crazy at her dinner with EJ. Rafe learned that the bones in the crypt were Stefano's, and he told the family.
Johnny broke the news to Marlena, Kayla, and Roman about Stefano’s confirmed death. Kate was upset by the news, and Roman comforted her. Marlena admitted that she was thankful that Stefano had brought John into her life. Johnny also told everyone the news about Chanel’s pregnancy, and they celebrated the new member of the family.
Johnny talked to Kate about Bonnie’s book, and Kate told Johnny there were no conflicts of interest if DiMera took it on. Roman and Johnny gave Kate credit for helping him be successful at both Titan and DiMera. Johnny asked Theo for advice about the book, and Theo told Johnny to proceed in his pursuit of the manuscript. Theo was released from the hospital.
Cat traced Peter’s bank transactions to Liam’s account. Liam continued to make progress with Abe on his reading. Rafe told Abe about Liam’s financial connection to Peter before the kidnappings. Furious at the idea that Liam had helped to kidnap Theo, Abe vowed to find out the truth.
Steve and Jada pitched a plan to Alex and Stephanie to promote a website that announced they planned to elope. The stalker listened to the plan through a bug he had planted in Stephanie’s apartment. After the stalker posted about previous attempts to kill Alex, Stephanie had misgivings. Alex assured Stephanie he would be fine.
Chanel visited Sophia, and she showed her pictures of Trey. When Gabi had a moment of morning sickness, Sophia clocked it. Chanel told Sophia that she was welcome to send a message to her if she wanted. Chanel apologized to Sophia, and she told her that she was welcome to be a part of Trey’s life. After Chanel’s visit, Sophia asked Melinda how they could send Trey to a different family. Melinda warned Sophia to move on from revenge and focus on healing instead.
Chad and Jennifer signed the custody agreement. Chad admitted that he had been upset that the crypt bones might have been Abigail's because he was haunted by the disappearance of her corpse. Jennifer promised never to undermine Chad’s parenting. Chad promised not to dismiss Jack and Jennifer either.
Gabi delivered dresses to Ari and Holly for sorority rush. When Holly mentioned that Tate was unhappy about Holly’s plans, Gabi advised Holly to go ahead if she wanted to do rush week. Gabi noted that it was healthy for couples Holly’s age to spend time apart. Gabi told Ari she had found her fake ID, and she asked her to be careful with how she used it.
Leo gave Dimitri a list of reasons why Dimitri was bad for him. When Dimitri pointed out that Leo exhibited all the same bad traits, Leo argued that Javi helped him fight against his bad behavior. Dimitri reiterated that he did not want Leo to change and that he would always love him. Leo walked out.

Dr. Rolf successfully revived a dead rat, and he prepared to start human trials on a deceased female. EJ returned home and was furious to find Dimitri at the mansion. EJ yelled at Gwen for having released Dimitri from captivity without her approval. Gwen told EJ of her plan to frame Dimitri for the DiMera kidnappings. When EJ scoffed at the idea, Gwen made contact with a new ally: Vivian.
